The ASVAB... what a joke of a test. It's supposed to be a thinly veiled IQ test, but man... it was just so incredibly easy.

I could feel the stupid oozing from the recruiting office. No way would I ever sign up.

So . . . you have never seriously investigated globalism?

Have you read at least 100-300 pages of their own stuff in their own words?

I'm gonna vote for him cause you wont.

Ditto. The hate in this one is strong. The stupidity and lies are stronger.

Obama's presidency should prove our vote doesn't count

Actually, Obama's presidency proves that my vote counts. I voted for him. So did most of my friends. So did a lot of folks.

You have to assume your vote was actually counted and it wasn't rigged for Obama all along.

So proves nothing.

Globalism, eh?

So it's all planned ahead by person or persons impervious to us little peons. That globalism?

Forgive me if I don't buy in to it.

That there are groups who take advantage of situations is hardly a surprise. Everyone does. Basic human instinct.

To say that there is some cabal who, through sheer evilness, control all events is just silly. If you want to sit back and blame some group or groups unknown for all the bad, and believe that there is nothing to be done, feel free. I'll keep right on, in my own little way, trying to fix things as I can.

I agree...but...how about groups working together to make things better for themselves and screw the people? Based upon your stated position, that would just be human nature and something I would agree with. Which still makes it corruption and rigged...and still requires fixing.

I truly believe if Gary Johnson gets into the debates (Which he is very very close to doing right now) he has atleast an outside shot at winning it. I hate it so bad when I hear Trump people go "well he's not Hillary." You have a 3rd option with actual political experience and a relatively good track record both as a person, and a politician.

I know how bad Hillary is so I'll skip that part because this is a Trump thread. I have watched Donald for several years, back in school we were assigned to watch The Apprentice as part of a business class, something about him then just turned me off to him. The more I watch him the more it terrifies me. His personality, the way he speaks. He is an incredible speaker, but I believe he is a con-man. I see no reason to believe anything he says. He has changed his positions even more than Hillary and even more recently than Hillary if we have to compare him to her. He knows how to stir up people, he knows how to control a crowd and the media alike. He can speak for 75 minutes, keep people fired up..and yet say nothing. His 75 minute speech thursday night provided ZERO specifics. The way it sounds to me, is that he would have to become extremely authoritarian to make what he says even partially realistic. And given what I see in his personality, I think thats a possibility and I think everyone needs to be looking into that.

HIs followers. I see it here, I see it on Facebook, I see it in his surrogates on tv. Its almost like a trance. Almost all repeat the same lines over and over and over again. And when you debate with facts, and try to reason with them on who he is you either get "well he's not hillary" or something else like he's anti-pc or building a wall. Anti PC is not always good. The wall...do you know unrealistic that is, both financially and with everything that goes into land right issues. Mexico isnt paying for it for one. Second there are people along the border that own land where this wall would go. This was a problem when they attempted to build a wall across a portion of the border in Texas. It turned into a costly 10 year court fight, for a much much smaller portion of wall than what he wants because people didnt want to be forced to give up land that their families had owned for generations. He leaves out freedom, kindness, rights (Except 2nd amendment) from a lot of his speeches. He says he can do it all himself. You are playing Russian Roulette with both candidates, but I truly believe there is enough of a chance that we may be stepping off the cliff into tyranny with Donald, that we all need to take a long deep look into what he stands for.

I don't disagree. Where I part ways with many herein is this notion that it's beyond any of us, or rather all of us.

There are problems, and some can, indeed, be traced back to groups invested in profits only for themselves...which, in and of themselves isn't necessarily bad...it's the means with which they make that profit.

What's the old saying?

Do what you will, but harm none. Live by that little rule, and you'll have no issue with me, or me with you. It's when you harm others in pursuit of that profit...that I have an issue with.

When that begins to happen, it's time for you, and I, and however many it takes to do something about it.

This place is a hell hole. Let it go. You're trying to convince a bunch of people who worship corruption to vote for someone ethical. They're not going to do that. It's all about Trump because they hate "the left" and Hillary Clinton. Next election they'll hate the left and whoever the current figurehead is. The following election they'll hate the left...

See the pattern? People prefer to hate their opponents than find commonalities with their fellow man for the sake of solving problems. It's a game to these people and most are detached from reality. It's the ignorant us vs them minds that ruin this country. Everyone wants the same thing, but I guess it's easier to blame. It's because they have no real answers so they point the finger. People with nothing to offer society often do this to feel fulfilled or they're awful human beings that need to distract themselves from their own misery.

But I won't waste my time because I know that most on ATS already know this, because at one point in time almost everybody here supported Ron Paul in 2012, people know whats up at ATS politically.

Yes it is all decided elsewhere we have nothing to do with it.

I doubt the networks will have anyone but Clinton and Trump. It's not about informing the electorate it's about ratings and the spectacle of those two sniping at each other will be must see TV. It would kill the show to have anyone there with a lick of sense.

I don't "hate" the left. I do think the leadership is exceedingly dangerous, and will sell this country down the river in return for a seat at the big table.

Thanks for sharing OP. What I got from this thread was ;

"Vote for hillary, it's not Trump" or "Vote for Trump, it's not hillary".

Can anyone give me a good reason as to why one should vote for the "lesser evil", if both evils are so close to each other?

Why do we keep supporting our ridiculous system of politics?

I am voting for Trump because the other option is Hillary.

Stand with the people of Haiti. When the Clinton's say they care about minorities and black people, just look at what they did in Haiti.

Hillary does NOT care about black people, and have used the entire tragedy in Haiti for personal gain.

Ask any Haitian what they think about the Clinton's. Ask them how life has been since the tragedy in Haiti took place.

Because Johnson can't beat her.

Most states are already predetermined for Hillary or Trump just due to their population demographics. If you're in one of those states you can vote for Johnson without compromising the vote against Hillary. It's only about 3 battleground states where a vote can actually swing things one way or the other right now.
