That's really all it should come down to-public support.

Failure is just another step on the stairs to success unless you let each and every failure send you tumbling down them.

My current boss has been a millionaire and lost it all 5 times over - each time he comes back more prepared and better suited to engage with each new endeavor.

Show me any businessman or politician and I'll show you some way they've failed in the past.

The successful ones learn from their mistakes and come back better. We're never going to have some infallible being in the WH and I wouldn't want that person there even if we could.

At this point all Trump has to do is keep pointing to the failures (and associated loss of life) that Hillary has had. Who cares about his wifes speech. That is so far off topic from the election that I can only see it as desperation.

Ill still vote Johnson, I think. But if it were Trump or Hillary....its a nobrainer.

Trump says he's tough and speaks his mind, but he certainly backed off his attacks when he was pressed on calling George Bush a liar. If you want someone who is willing take on the party establishment, you shouldn't worry about whose feet you step on, republican or democrat. If you're telling the truth, public support will follow.

So all his G W Bush bashing counts for nothing because he didn't say it the way you like it?

So you are willing to trust this man with Americas economy? Remember Trump Airlines or Trump casinos? of course folk don't because they went bankrupt.

And how is a nation supposed to retain diplomatic relations if a tool in a toupe wants to punish immigrants despite the fact that many of his wives are immigrants! Hillary is far from perfect but at least she doesn't make the world shudder at the thought that she could become POTUS.

Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Harry Truman, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln all had failed businesses. Luckily Trump has over 500 businesses. Compare that to Clinton's one business, Whitewater Development Corp, which failed miserably and sparked controversy:

At Clinton's request, Attorney General Janet Reno appointed a special prosecutor, Robert B. Fiske, to investigate the legality of the Whitewater transactions in 1994. Two allegations surfaced: 1) that Clinton had exerted pressure on an Arkansas businessman, David Hale, to make a loan that would benefit him and the owners of Madison Guaranty; and 2) that an Arkansas bank had concealed transactions involving Clinton's gubernatorial campaign in 1990. In May 1994, Fiske issued a grand jury subpoena to the President and his wife for all documents relating to Madison Guaranty, with a deadline of 30 days. They were reported as missing by the Clintons. Almost two years later, the subpoenaed billing records of the Rose Law Firm were discovered in the Clintons' private residence in the White House by a staffer.

One failed business out of just as many business ventures. Winner? Trump.

He wants to punish illegal immigrants. Read and grasp the term illegal, before attempting to conflate illegal immigration with immigration altogether. If he starts a campaign against illegal drug soliciting, are you going to claim he's going after pharmacists too?

It was pretty funny watching CNN last night after the conclusion of Trump's speech.

The panel of critics, immediately started picking the speech apart, claiming that it was too dark and there was no way it would be received well. The hilarity ensued when they had a panel of undecided voters off in a room somewhere. They asked how many were moved by the speech into a possible Trump vote. Half the room raised their hand.

Most of the panel of critics had to change their tune after that.

When will the MSM realize that they have lost control of the narrative? When will they realize that their opinions are only shared by idiots who can't be bothered to think for themselves?

Either way, I hope to see ever more massive helpings of crow consumed by the likes CNN and FOX.

It's good for my soul.

I switched to multiple channels looking for commentary after the speech. I can tell you they ALL got the same 'dark' memo even NPR (of course)

Jeez...some folk are so far right the tower of Pisa is ashamed.

His wife's speech was plagiarized, he has had many failed business ventures (google Trumps failed businesses) his only policy is "I'm going to build a wall" and that wall would've kept his trophy wives out of the country. The rest of the world is laughing at the U.S for even considering him a candidate let alone a Prez.

If Trump is elected America's next president the voters didn't shoot themselves in the foot, they shot themselves in the face with a bazooka. Look at his track record and you will see that Hillary is the better of the two evils.

Plagarized 40 words In a 17 minute speech of someones speech. the writer did that herself not melania. So theres that out the door, but feel free to ignore it.

Capitalism Allows for failed ventures. we learn from our failures. Thats not a bad thing. HE has also had a lot of success. but hey we dont ever count the good stuff right?

The problem the US has now is they think we are already a joke due to obama and his hand soff back of the bus approach. Thats nervous laughter you are hearing now that trump is a serious canidate.

As to the wall I dont think he means a literal wall either.

Oh and CNNs dont know what to do. Turns out their audience LIKED THE SPEECH in actuality.

Why do you feel the need to compare Trump to a fascist dictator?

Is it the amount of American flags or the fact that he is putting America before other countries? Honestly what's wrong with Trump wanting to make "America great again"? It's about time that the United States has a president who is focused on us.

I had CNN on the TV with sound down low until 2:30am. By 2:00am, the CNN panel had degenerated to the point where they were discussing how dangerous an "Authoritarian Trump Family Dynasty" would be for this country!

Nobody called Obama's Dallas speech dark.

He perpetuated the myth of "racist cops hunting down and murdering black people."

He flat-out claimed the justice system was broken and racist.

He incited people to take immediate action because "change was too slow."

That was much darker than Trump laying out facts and inconvenient truths.

I noticed Trump applying Reagan's 11th Commandment: Thou shalt not speak ill of another republican.

You may have noticed the less than enthusiastic response to his statement regarding fixing the Trade Agreements. Trump's biggest battle, IMO, will be not the voters or even the Democrats. It will be the Republican Party and elite that give Donald the hardest time as President.

That battle will be fought after the election. The convention was to win the support of the party and the voters. In that he succeeded.

One step at a time....

Nothing like the taste of the warm, salty tears of defeat.

And that is not to say that the speech was an absolute grand slam but that the Democratic Party stenographers that play journalists on TV know in their hearts that people are no longer buying what they are selling.

Odd how he did that during his speech but not before or after. The next day he went right after Cruz again.

I don't know the context of the next day's comments. What I do get, assuming a Trump victory, is the split between the Executive and Congress.....again...or still. Trump will obviously control the Cabinet postings and can cull the shills via the selection process. The committees and sub-committees is another matter entirely.

If those are filled by elite purchased 'Republicans', his jobs gets much, much tougher. Rand, Cruz....any internal opposition needs eroding/marginalizing as the opportunities present themselves.....

Yeah, Obama and hillary will bankrupt the country with everyone's money being lost.

Anyway, hillary is bought and paid for by the rest of the world until she stabs them in the back.

That's their problem if Trump scares them. They should be scared, don't you think?

Where will they get their free stuff when Trump is potus?

Careful now, you can't really talk about important topics here. The political discussions cannot go past accusations of racism and petty mainstream media propaganda.

But really, ordering airstrikes with a Blackberry??

Of course it was dark...it was the truth. All you've been hearing from Obama is "JV team", "keep your Doctor" and "we are winning" (during terrorist attacks). Lies and nothing but lies. Lies so obvious that if you have sight...you can see it is a lie. And just today...John Kerry (who probably can't piss without Obama's permission) is on the record calling "air conditioners as big a threat as ISIS".

FoxNews

They are worthless because they lie, therefore...their words mean absolutely nothing.

Addressing real world concerns is one thing. Infantile fear mongering is another. It was nice to hear two adults speak today as opposed to the scaredy cat blathering drivel we heard all last week.
