Reflections on what I've heard RE GOP convention; asking for conservative responses

I threw the TV out 12+ years ago and I did not watch any of the GOP stuff even on the net.

Some of my friends did. Here's my responses to their comments on what they saw.

I'd love to read some responses to the below from authentic patriots of the Republic who are of a conservative bent.

1. Let's assume that the GOP convention was NOT 99.9999% Kabuki theater charade. Let's assume that at least the bulk of the actors on the stage were sincere giving heart-felt pontifications.

2. WHAT THEREFORE, are your impressions, assumptions, sensings, about how it will play in the body politic in November--based on what you saw on stage these 3 nights?

3. How do you see Trump et al playing out their role between now and Nov based on what you saw these 3 nights?

4. LET'S ASSUME THAT IT ALL WAS 99.99999% KABUKI THEATER, CHARADE, FARCE . . .

5. What do you think the goals, strategies, manipulations in play therefore and therefrom are/will be?

6. From what y'all have said hereon, it SOUNDS VERY MUCH LIKE it was EXTREMELY WELL . . . SCRIPTED.

7. i.e. every (well, near every) speaker was VERY well chosen. ALMOST every speech was extremely well crafted and pushed a list of extremely needful, pregnant, eagerly-desperately-longed-for patriotic buttons VERY WELL, on cue, with great timing . . . etc. etc. etc. i.e. it sounded like the whole kit and kaboodle had been away for 3 months practicing on an island somewhere getting the whole show polished down to a "T."

8. I don't recall feeling that way about any such event in my almost 70 years. What's different about this one? The same manipulative, propagandizing, tyrannical, authoritarian, traitorous elite critters are in charge. What were they up to these 3 nights?

9. Was it, is it more of the Marxist DIVIDE AND CONQUER meme, strategy? Marxist, satan-worshiping, screeching Fosterizing, genocidal, ... compulsive lying, greedy, power-mongering, criminal bw*tch on one side

My honest feeling is that these conventions are a bunch of scripted commercials for a product we don't need. You would really have to have drank the Kool-Aid to be able to sit through these things and believe a thing they are saying.

Trump was at least interesting when he went on stage without a script, but for the convention I think he will be completely handled and use a teleprompter. That being said I think that watching Hilary will be absolutely excruciating.

I highly recommend you don't subject yourself to these conventions. I have watched some of this convention for the first time in years and now realize what I haven't been missing. I feel sorry for the attendees.

The gritchy one HAS TO HAVE HAD A HORRENDOUS AMOUNT OF

RAD--Attachment Disorder.

I've often been curious about the particulars of her relationship with her dad . . . and mom, for that matter. Lesbians are often hard to consistently correlate back to their parentage about. There are some patterns but not consistent patterns.

She's just sooooo fiercely hostile the RAD stuff just spews out of every pore, virtually. Curious.

I couldn't see myself flinching every other word . . . or sentence . . .

Wanting to flee to the toilet to barf every other paragraph etc.

Though from the sounds of my friends . . . I'd have been thrilled at the words . . . IF . . . I could have deluded myself that they meant anything lasting.

it is a political party...they all do what political parties do...try to pump up the crowd.

I watched some of this but don't think I can stomach Hill at all.

I do think Trump is mostly sincere but never accomplish everything...no, will only accomplish very little of what he purposes.

Ted Cruz was an ass imo and his wife had to be escorted out. But then I never liked Cruz and am not the far right.

Just consider anything you hear as BS and go with your instinct with the usual understanding that nothing is as it seems.

It was all just a footnote in the history books Bo. All they had to do was hold it together enough, just march in place, just pretend it was the good old days and wait. Wait for the Democrat Convention to crumble before the eyes of the nation like 68.

Maybe that convention will crash and burn leaving the Missus to sink with the ship with Bernie manning the life boats with some hope of a third party miracle.

Am skeptical.

It will be interesting to see how much air time the gritchy pants suit will have at the Dem convention.

I'm skeptical that she can keep a straight or pleasant face more than a minimal number of hours (1?) per day. How will they keep the screaming banshee, vengeful, spiteful, arrogant, bw*tch persona from showing through? They've prevented press conferences for that reason. They screen audiences for similar reasons.

How much more such tightly scripted farces can they manage? And for 3 days of a convention? Could get interesting but I just expect wholesale stage management to keep her real personality from showing through.

I've only been paying half attention really. I could never sit through such a thing attempting to really pay full attention.

It seems they are really hitting Hillary hard which is different than in previous years.

I did watch Pence because I was curious. He came off very well and credible. He's the Murtagh to Trump's Riggs if you've ever seen Lethal Weapon. Of course, Ryan seemed way too happy to introduce him which means the guy is likely establishment. Will we see a replay of Reagan and Bush? Understand I am not comparing Trump to Reagan directly.

Somehow, by this morning, Cruz's speech seems to have morphed into an endorsement of Hillary in certain quarters which I find to be insane. No, he didn't endorse Trump by name, but neither would be endorse Hillary either. Shoot, if we was going to kill his career that far, he might as well have accepted a speaking spot at her own convention.

And judging by the trolls in the convention thread last night, there must have been more policy meat thrown out because they finally stopped whining about how there wasn't any of that.

It's all theater, and as a Conservative I feel like the GOP hates the base of its own party and Donald Trump said he doesn't need my support several times.
