I like this idea but do you really see other countries following suit? How will it play out in the world courts?

Seems like twitter is going against the american spirit of free speech and expression by shutting down the voice of those whos opinions they dont like.

It is their right.

They are not the American government.

So could a person open up a whites only restaurant, or refuse to bake a cake for gays, or refuse to cut a woman's hair in a barber shop? I am assuming by your logic that would be ok? after all none of those organisations would be the govt.

False equivalence.

Discrimination based on race or sex in the public square is not the same as restricting unwanted speech on private property.

I dont know if hes instigating anything any more so than other people on twitter.

Then you're not familiar with Milo and his methods.

No, ive heard what comes out of his mouth. His delivery can be rather pointed and abrasive.

Doesnt change the fact that twitter is punishing one party involved and not the other. People talk smack about each other and movemts or sociopolitical ideals all the time on twitter.

And yet twitter only punishes a select few of those. Specifically those who are talking smack about topics that dont match twitters biases and agenda at the moment with their not exactly congruent "oh no you didnt! you done did it now" policies against disenting opinions to their propsed (semi coerced. ) paradign.....just like in north korea!

So twitter did something obviously biased and perhaps bigoted, people are pointing out twitters hypocracy and social political agenda driven track record of censorship and negatively judging them for it. But again its their perogative. Still doesnt protect it from being considered contemptuous and arrogantly biased behaviour. Just like a bigoted country club gets scorn for the disparity in their practices. And rightfully so.

Bottom line is that Twitter do have the right to ban Milo, but they should apply their rules equally, which they have not done.

That is your opinion.

Sure, an individual can post questionable stuff, and skate by.

But, Milo raises flags - - consistently. That's the difference.

When you consistently have the same person at the source of a "flame war" - - even if they aren't participating - - its pretty obvious who the instigator is.

With all the controversy surrounding the new Ghostbusters movie, with Sony openly and shamelessly labeling it's detractors as sexist misogynists, you really think that this is a coincidence?

This is corporate driven social justice gone rampant. The entire movement has been bought and paid for. It's become the counter-revolution

They are removing the instigator.

The one who pushes other people's buttons - - to get them to react.

Milo is not "clean".

Those have been proven doctored, it's part of what got your alt-right martyr banned to begin with. Quit your BS.

How do we know that? Milo had received many warning and temporary bans leading up to this. How do we know that the woman did not receive a warning for her part, yet had not reached the same level of violations as Milo?

No need to be dramatic.

It's twitter. Who gives a #?

Miko loves to push buttons thats fir sure but it would appear that voth were mutually ibstigating discourse. One was punished disproportionantly than the other. You can say they both got yelled at by the twitter gods. But its just twitters highly suspect (due their cherry picked punative responses to mainly those going against their biases-again their perogative to be illogically one sided and biased) word versus the obvious.

They just dont like milo. Anything he does that they can use against him they will, doesnt matter if they let equally offensive material by other accoubts stay. Its their perogative to do a witch hunt.

The examples you provided are of services provided to the general public and laws exist to curb discriminatory practices.

The free speech aspect, we went over yesterday.

Twitter is a service provided to the general public too, but I think I get your point...
the difference is a law vs a constitutional amendment, right?

Liberal? Lame. The too easy fallback.

Witch hunt for an asshole is more like it.
