Former Engineer at Vandenburg A.F.B. comes clean about past ufo sightings

I would bet that there were many missile launches from Vandenberg in the past, that the public was not aware of.
The BlueStreak was a project that had origin in the U.S. for the United Kingdom with United States support, and Pratt & Whitney was a primary contractor. I have no doubt that this missile or it's prototype was probably tested at Vandenberg, just from those facts alone.

I think that just goes to show the level and how effective "need to know" is when things are classified. That's why he didn't know about them all.

And the same folks who were "there" when things were happening are always thinking that they would surely know because of how important they always think they are.

I don't know, most people that work with missiles rarely get
them confused with other objects of the same size.
I'd bet the witness never drove home after work
being afraid by tractor trailers going by,
because he may have thought they we're Blue Streaks
or Cigar Motherships.
