I agree but life moves on. I don't want to be sad over death, let's be happy for life. We know were born and we die. It's sad but we move on to another place. Where? I don't know but our soul knows. So me I celebrate the life of a person and you should too! Just how I feel.
You can't love and live in a sad world.

Enough said I am finally convinced that I must move on.

WIS, my friend.
I completely understand and hope that you check in, one last time, long enough to see this.
You've got mail, both kinds.
From me.
My understanding of your feelings will be clear when you read them.

(hugs)

Wis.
I enjoyed your addition to the story.
Perhaps the halls are empty because they are visited one by one.
Maybe we are too easily surrendering to the noise.
I read a later post of yours where you state you have been convinced that it is time to move on.
I hope you speak only of grief.
I am not yet ready to find new halls. (although I've been tempted.)
We desire the company of like minded souls.
I hope you stay close so we can gather.

Sad news tends to make us all sad.

And yet, life moves on.

The majority of us believe in life after death, a state that the soul exists in.

It is a happy place, full of love and understanding.

Why so sad people? I know it hurts. But think of the one that passed through death. Think of the knowledge they now have, of the understanding we strive for and constantly question.

I am sad at someone's passing but also I rejoice. They lived their lives and learnt whatever they needed to learn.

Perhaps, remember where they have gone and perhaps as time heals our hurt, we can rejoice for them having taken what to us seems like a final step, but in truth, is simply a new beginning.

I wish I knew how to do a heart thingy right here. Use your imaginations, you all have one!

Well said. It's a fact, we live and our human body dies. We celebrate the life of the person we lost.

It has saddened me a little that people are arguing here how people should grieve.

It is a deeply personal moment for anyone, let's not try and tell people how they should be happy etc, besides Nick would roll his eyes if he read it. Let people say and feel what they want without putting personal expectation on any of it.

Anyway,

Last night my husband and I lay on the grass in the country under the starry meteor shower filled sky.

We counted 65! The first one was as big as a New Years Eve Firework, I knew it was from Woody.

I heard an owl hoot too. What a special night I had to say goodbye.

Usually whenever something cool like that happens and I want to see it, it's cloudy. I hope I can see that. I only saw one meteor shower and it was cool. It freaked my supervisor out because she said it looked like the end of the world but I thought it was neat.

Good day everyone! I couldn't sleep very well at all with these maddening mosquito bites! I'm up for now, but I wouldn't be surprised if I take off for a long nap soon.

I apologize if I snapped last night. I was upset that WIS left again and needed a break. Trying to get members back in here is like pulling teeth and I miss them terribly when they are gone.

We had also just lost Woody,a part of our ATS family and though I know he is in a better place now, my heart went out to his family and I'm sure it is gut wrenching for them to lose such an important part of the family and one so young.

On top of that, the first week of September I have to see a specialist. The month after I have to have a mammogram and have to check in with the cancer Doctor. I know there are more damned tests down the road and that frustrates me terribly. My anxiety level shoots through the roof. My medical coverage sucks, so I end up paying a percentage of everything. Sigh...sorry.
