to that place,

The weight of leather armor burdened their steps. The rain hadn't stopped for three days. Q and Jin made their way through be low pine boughs to the remnants of a long forgotten ruin. Q, akin to a bard in his own right, glanced dreamily around surely plotting out his next writing. Jin lead the way, pointing out animal dung and explaining futilely to the trees.
They reached the edge of a clearing to where the ruins began. "What do you think this was," questioned Jin.
"....Huh? what? OH! It looks like a sort of ceremonial shrine," was Q's reply.
"Let's spread around and see if we can find an entrance," Jin suggested.
They split apart and hiked around the clearing. Giving the old stone a wide berth, these ruins demanded respect. Many a traveler had lost their lives carelessly spelunking into the unknown.

Q looked around and stepped in the Dung, after hours of searching for the lost opening Jin found the secret. The secret was to hold hands of the lover from a past life. Jin quickly found his soulmate 10. They held the hands of love and the door opened.
Lights of happiness followed their souls. Jin asked 10 to marry him and gave her a beautiful ring. 10 said to Jin yes my love I will marry you.
Jin said ok I love you too but let's explore this crazy place we have found. 10 agreed. As they entered peace and love entered their souls and then became one. Their love for one another was magical. It was a new beginning in their lives...

Treading down the main corridor, the two bumbling adventurers with spirit in tow. They happened upon and alter. It's pedestal made of metal infused stone. It stood just under chest high with an angled plate atop it's pillar. Behind, a pool of water of the deepest blue. At the bottom was a hazy mirror that reflected the suns rays. In the rafters on each side of the cavern were two gargoyles. These were not your standard fear invoking beasts, these were different. Metallic in appearance but clearly made of stone. Appendages bionic and vine. Faces of sculpted metal.
Having no recourse and no treasure in sight, the trio decided to leave and make camp. Just then the rain ceased and the sun breached the clouds.

His soulmate 10 had been taken in battle by a demon. 10 did not exist anymore, the soul and knowledge being consumed by a demon Lord.
Jin had just pledged their soul to a demon Lord and that was just careless."
The magical realm they had entered was only in their mind.
The Wolf Lord walked behind the Demon and breathed on the back of the Demon Lord's neck. Instantly, the neck turned to a minced state and as it unraveled, the Demon was no more . That was satisfying. The captured souls released at last to ascend to the great wheel in the sky.
The Wold Lord looked at the confused Jin and thought, "You will get over it ... if you want to of course."
The Wolf Lord transferred himself back to the shed and ordered a big bowl of steak and kidney, with some liver for a more robust flavour.
