Breaking : More than 20 people injured by axeman on German train

Breaking news of an attack on a train in Germany where an axeman has attacked passengers , no further details yet but the suspicion has to be of another terrorist attack.

More than 20 people in Germany have been injured after a man with an axe went on the rampage on a train, German media report. A police operation including a helicopter is under way in Heidingsfeld, a part of the city of Wurzburg in southern Germany. Local media (in German) tweeted that 21 people had been injured and a suspect appeared to have been shot.

The German news agency DPA reported that the police said some of the victims' injuries were life-threatening.

Police confirm a man wielding a knife and an axe has been shot dead , several people critically injured.

Still awful. I just hate that argument. Fact is many attacks would be much worse with firearms involved when they are not. I said many not all.

Im not for taking guns away. I am against crap arguments. Hopefully the fact this was not carried out with guns or bombs means it was just some psycho on drugs and not another 'Isis' attack.

Hope all the injured survive.

But more can be killed with a big truck than a gun. That has, very unfortunately, been proven recently.

If this is a terrorist attack I expect riots as the German people demand Mad Merkals head.

It does depend on the IQ of the wielder of the weapon, which is in most cases fortunately seldom very high, although beware of the silent intelligent psychos. If he did this in a school, there could be a lot more casualties. Also add a simple spray can with some acid like liquid (plenty available in many stores) to ward off potential heroes.

I think those who want to kill are actually learning from these killings. Wish our governments would learn as well and take more action.

It's 1 light injured, 3 heavily injured, there were 20 passengers so probably a mistake in reports. The axe wielder was shot.

Got to get it right. Ban the scary assault axes. Don't you know only the Police and Military need assault axes.

Someone must have a story of banned assault axes in their country after a mass axing to prove civilians don't need assault axes.

I have attended a few "anti terror" seminars with my job role that where run by the security services. The over riding factor is that Daesh is instructing its minions to inflict terror attacks using basic methods such as using home made explosives and knifes. There was even a clip from a "pro jihad" website that shows a semi masked somalian man with a British accent explaining what you can purchase in B&Q (hardware outlet in UK) for a attack. This type if thing will be with us now for many years. In some cases you can cause as much damage with a box cutter as with something that is thought of as much more lethal.

I expect the media to make this out to be yet another isolated attack by a moderate Muslim that was not allowed to intergate blah blah blah.
