Here's a link. Be careful what you sign up for on this site. I got spam in my email account from here. Don't give email if you don't want spam.

Gospel-only Christianity
I have been a seeker all my life, and I can appreciate God's hand in various religious traditions. Since coming to the Lord, He has drawn me closer to trying to understand His goal for my life. In the process, I have become more and more convinced that the single moral guidance that I need for my life is not so much the Bible, or the New Testament as a whole, but exclusively the four Gospels

Yup. The world would be a much better one if we only listened to Jesus. Hey, there's a really good country song about "The Words in Red". I'll have to ask my son which one. He sings it well.

UTTER NONSENSE.

You are merely illustrating that you know extremely little about

Yeshua

or

His Relationship, intimacy, being One with The Father, Abba, Yehovah.

Sad, that.

Which God?.
The one true God is not man made.
Ignore anything anyone else has to say about who God is they are trying to sell you their idea of God when you should figure God out yourself.
The religious have fallen for other mens ideas of God as you can see in this thread.

Sorry I'm late to the thread but let me give you my answer to your question. Currently this world is separated from it's God.
Simply put there is a detail about the entire Jesus Christ kerfuffle from the first century AD that got overlooked. And it's this.
The first century Jews managed to trigger a 2000 year top level curse when they killed John the Baptist. I explain it here in some detail.

Link.

Currently this world is messed up. So to answer your questions. First one. Partially true. We've never been alone or abandoned but I would point out that the Ancient of Days is extremely upset with us. And based on a reading of Genesis 48 and 49 along with the olive tree parable of Romans 11 I would point out that most of humanity is probably under that curse of Malachi I mentioned in the link.

Now I would suggest this. Find a church and start going. The reason being if I am even close on the predictions I made in that thread then we're in serious trouble. And as in the story of Passover your really going to want that protection when the Apocalypse starts crashing down on us.

Our mother is the Devil. (DNA wise) which represents the fall of man & angels. You can call her Eve, Lilith, :Lucifer, scarlet or w/e. because of this truth we are the fallen angels. hence why yeshua came to redeem us.

You can see more on this truth by watching this series

Start with the deed, follow through the titles "You are the fallen" as well as "This is it" by Jonathan Kleck.

Our father / infinite creator is of the spirit, which is God. I wouldnt say he abandoned us, oh he is observing. He is simply silent about it.

Which God?.

There is only one god, and nobody knows who it is or what it is...see that's what's wrong with people these days, they have an EGO. Doesn't matter if you're the smartest person on the planet or the most enlightened...nobody knows. Just try this simple step it's really easy...repeat to yourself.... "I don't know anything"....soon enough your ego will fall off a cliff.

Did God Abandon Us? Is a common question many religious folks ask themselves.

I'm no a religious man, but I am slowly leaning towards faith.
I wanted to test a theory of an interesting situation, it was roughly 11pm and the moon was full shining bright.
In my room I have a mirror and I decided to look at it for some reason and then out of nowhere I was almost pushed to turn off the light.
As the light went out the room was filled with the moonlight and I saw a reflection of myself in the mirror, I began to stare at it for a while then a surge passed through me.

I saw the half of myself which was illuminated by the light smirking, I had a feeling of almost being in a trance or a sleep. My eye was black and the reflection of me said to me "God doesn't want you, it abandoned you all". When I came to I was still in a bit of shock wondering as to what happened and what it meant.

If there is a God could this be true?
Are we all alone now?
Why would it abandon us?

So many questions are now on my mind

I'm not religious at all...probably even a bit anti-religion but I was raised Roman Catholic. If there is a God, he hasn't abandoned us. We have abandoned him. Please allow that to sink in, again assuming there is a God.

The entity that may have given us everything including life itself...we have turned our back on him. We have said "screw your ways"...we have said "you don't know what you're talking about". But we have done that to our past also. We turned our back in the USA on women running the household and managing the children while the man worked for income. Today...both the man and woman have to work just to survive and the children get only the left over attention. And look at the world. Look at what we got in return. No...not just the man and woman thing...everything.

There is a verse in a song I'm going to link (Youtube) to my post but it goes...

"Your childhood eyes were so intense
While bartering your innocence
For bits of string
The grown-up wings
You needed

But when you had to add them up
You found that there were not enough
To get you in
Pay for sins
Repeated"

We think we are so smart, so great, so wonderful. We have traded some very valuable things for "bits of string" that makes us feel like we no longer need a God. We are better or at least smarter than God. I mean...look at those old words and those old ideas that are just so not today. So stupid. We are better than that. But look where we are.

We abandoned our children...they raise themselves with Facebook and non-confrontational arguments. They get a trophy for not even trying. They have no idea how to punch another kid in the face when he insults a girl. Hell...the school would call the police if that happened. They give a $20 bill as a present instead of thinking, saving and buying the perfect gift for their best friend. How cheap...how unthoughtful. But that is today.

We are at war overseas, we are at war with our neighbors and we are at war with ourselves. We are addicts addicted to money, power and other things and we are just so freakin great that we celebrate ourselves...as our children never grow up to be adults. As our society turns into spoiled children always wanting more free stuff. We don't even respect our own laws like we used to...we don't respect anyone else...we are the God damn kings of ourselves. And we still suck.

I think we have traded very poorly. I think we have given up things that were important and yes...we have gotten things that we didn't have before....but maybe we never should have had them to begin with. Is it better that today you can walk down the street proud that you ended an unwanted, mistake pregnancy? Instead of hiding it, being ashamed of your choices and deciding you are going to do everything in your power to never have that happen again? Or is it better that some use that as birth control?

Just one example. Anyway...we suck...we screwed up and there is probably no going back. But here is that song anyway. I found it after living inside a Southern Comfort bottle for two years and hitting bottom. And it remains very important to me.

So...in closing. You haven't been abandoned. If there is a God and if you want to let him in your life...you don't have to do much. You don't have to go to church or even change your life. All you really have to do is...well...believe.

First off, I liked all you wrote in your above post. I see the same things you do in this world. I've raised 4 boys (still raising them) and despite my best efforts, the world has encroached upon them. It's kinda hard to manage that, even when homeschooling, taking them to church, teaching them about "God". I've done the best I can....honestly.
However, today we are bombarded with a narcissistic society. Heck, if you get them a phone, just so you can be in touch with them while you are apart from them (and in todays age, it's necessary), you know they are exposed to so much filth and crap from having the internet at their fingertips, it's hard to keep those wolves at bay. I'm not religious either, at least not anymore. Used to be. Now, it turns my stomach.
Do you know what I found after 20 some odd years involved in churches? Those folks aren't any different than the ones "in the world". Some are. But, the deep hypocrisy and fakeness is sad. There are so many "men of God" (ha) addicted to porn it's ridiculous. Many believers are using SSRI'S just to cope. People suit up and show up, yet once outside those doors, it's the same as everyone else. The kids in "youth groups" act one way while there, and another while out. Church has become a business....it's pretty bad when there are TV's in the freaking bathrooms! Christian worship music is a sham as well. It's all become money oriented. Jesus said, "freely you have received, so freely you should give". Don't see that anymore. Worse yet, most Christians will tar and feather you for challenging the inerrancy of the Bible. There is no love or actual trying to understand. Most have a "knee-jerk" reaction, and think it's their "duty" to defend the God of the Bible. I don't see the actual character of Yahshua in many Christians. Maybe a few, but I can count them on one hand. Wonder why that is?
So, where's the "freedom in Christ" that was promised to us.
I used to think we all needed to go through some serious persecution. But you know what? Life just sucks down here. It sucks for EVERYONE.
Yea, there are moments of joy and goodness, but I don't see the good outweighing the bad.
You know what I think, wonder, question? WHY does God allow us to experience all of this, yet DO NOTHING. As a matter of fact, much of believer's "rational" for the things they do, come from the Bible.
I feel some days, like we are a huge science experiment. OR....a pawn in big game.
I know all the biblical answers for why this world is so screwed up. I just ain't buying it anymore.

So here is where I'M at....yes, I feel like God has abandoned us. I really, really, do.

WRONG AGAIN.

I've known plenty claiming to be "Christians" who acted those ways.

I've known plenty earnestly endeavoring to be and act like Christian sometimes fall prey to such.

I've even been troubled by the bloke in my mirror being that stupid on occasion.

Christians are far from perfect . . . just forgiven.

WRONG AGAIN.

Man, you REALLY need to prove me wrong. Let me ask you a question. HOW and WHEN did Jesus EVER treat people the way you have ME?
You actually have proven my point. Christians SAY they follow Jesus, but they ACT JUST LIKE PAUL.
Have you ONCE even asked me why I am where I am? Have you ONCE even shown compassion? Nope.

By the way, you must have missed the part where I wrote that I DO know people who have more of the character of Jesus. One of those people is gay. Some of them aren't even Christians. What do you do with that?
Oh, and the "Christians may be like everyone else...but forgiven", is not what JESUS taught. He said if you don't forgive others, your Father in Heaven would NOT forgive you. So much for Paul's "get out of jail free (grace) card".

If there is a God, I do not think it would abandon us... Why would something that created every fabric of everything and everyone completely desert and leave its own work? What would be the reasons?

Actually -- thinking this through, what leads you to think we were abandoned? In what aspect?
