It's possible it could have been more like saber rattling by the military than a full coup. Their military has been known to do that too over the years. They use that to force officials to back down, step in line, or resign.

Whether it is conspiracy theory or not, he has arrested thousands of Judges which had nothing to do with a military takeover attempt.

In their constitution the judiciary and the military are set up as checks to the elected leader. He basically did a Hitler and in one fell swoop, went from chancellor to dictator overnight by wiping out their leadership. Even had a parliament fire bombing, the similarities are enormous.

Since when are Reuters and all their cohorts in media obligated to tell the truth? It is lawful to spread propaganda in America. Why investigate when there's more money in reporting what you're told to report?

Nice, Turkey, Pence, pokemon go, pre-RNC convention. Man what are the chances a news cycle get this stacked when the redacted 9/11 pages come out.
I didn't even see it in the news. Saudi intelligence exposed and nothing.

Now there is a conspiracy, bury the 9/11 report in the news cycle

I even seen the news running about rnc committee members voting attempts to unbind delegates and various anti-trump shenanigans. They didn't run that kind of stuff when the RNC was putting the screw job on dr. paul, what gives?

Ok, first of all, Erdogan staging this makes sense and seems to be the case, unless the Turkish army, you know, the army that is one of the best trained and powerful in the world did a half assed job of their coup attempt and were beaten away from their tanks by unarmed civilians. Oh, and they forgot to cut off phone, internet and tv channels. Not only that but it's very very believable (and pretty obvious IMHO) that he would pull a stunt like this to use as an excuse to tighten his grip.

The coup was declared unsuccessful in less than 12 hours. That doesn't raise your eyebrows?

So, to put it simply, this is FAR more believable than most 9/11 conspiracies. Especially if one knows anything at all about that part of the world, which I'm guessing you don't.

You simply cannot compare the two events in this case.

Dont think of it as the "western world accepting a conspiracy", think of it more along the lines of "Business as usual in Turkey, nothing to see here".

It wouldn't surprise me one bit were Erdogan wanting to the be the head of the Islamic caliphate, absorbing ISIS into his own ranks. Turkey had long been the center of Islamic power through the Ottoman empire. Historically, it makes sense.
No genuine coup would have collapsed so quickly or failed to seize tv and radio and police stations throughout the country. He drew his opposition out in the open where he can deal with them any way he likes with the full blessings of NATO.

Erdogan is playing a very dangerous game trying to get everything he can from both the EU, US and Russia.

Exactly. I told my wife "what is this? Amateur hour?"

Turkey is the real enemy at our gates. Specifically Erdogan.

No doubt he is. They say Turkey is spit 50-50 between secularists and Muslims. Erdogan knows he can count on far more support from the Islamic sector as they inherently have religious cohesion and direction is easily given from every Mosque pulpit. Bet Germany is having second thoughts about the billions of euros given Turkey to slow immigration down.

Rough translation, turkish soldiers saw on a tv at a store what the military exercise really was, they stood there and watched the broadcast about a coup in disbelief and laid down their weapons.
They were the useful idiots, arrested undressed and put in a barn like pigs.

This coup was staged and paved the way for large scale cleansing in every area.
