What if I'm wrong?

That question is the first step to critical thinking. I'd like to think it's rather important, or should be, in political debate.

So how often do you ask yourself that question?

Right-wingers, maybe it IS a woman's right to choose.

Lefties, maybe we should stop immigration from Muslim countries.

You have to examine yourself to know your truth.

So, how often do you ask yourself WHAT IF I'M WRONG?

I often ask myself the opposite, 'What if I'm Right'.

There are to many things wrong with this world, everything here is 'wrong'.

s/f for your post though.

I was thinking the same thing myself when typing the post. I guess that's the point.

I'm asking you to challenge yourself. See things from both sides. There is no right way, you know. To anything.

It's all in your head.

In regard to immigration, I ask myself that a lot. But I am mainly thinking about better ways the government I pay money to should be stopping terrorists from entering. I never think I might be wrong that it is a bad thing to stop an entire religion from coming here.

Dont know any of these people ask any of those questions.

I think all they concern themselves with is what legislation do I need to vote for today to keep my unofficial retirement account (re-election campaign fund) growing or to avoid a nasty accident.

Why would I be unsure?
I have already thought about everything I have responded to.
I believe what I say.
I don't come to my decisions based on any form of hate.
I make them on faith.

So evidence is the end all be all of truth? Isn't context also just as important?
