Things might get serious very quickly if the rumours are true that air base incirlik is being attacked at the moment.
Turk authorities have closed the military base, trafic to and from the airbase is stopped and the power is cut off at the base.

At least they stopped airstrikes on Syria, for the time being. Power is out , too. The base is cut off, omg the highest alert status. Guess why??

Turkish authorities told the U.S. they were closing the air space until they could be sure all Turkish air force assets were under government control, CNN reported, citing a U.S. defense official.

How come no one is talking about ISIS?

No good intel coming out of Turkey?

I don't get it.

I've been trying to get in contact with my Airforce buddy I grew up with who's special forces, he's always in Turkey but he hasn't been responding.

Turkey says situation under control; air base used by U.S. closed

www.cnn.com...

Even if the attacks has been successful the US government will downplay any possibility of an attack on the US personnel in the base.

I highly doubt that that is the case.

Something isn't right.

When they won't report on ME issues or things like this usually terrorist are involved like ISIS.

They keep taking the "if we pretend they don't exist the problem will go away" approach thats ruining millions of lives.

Hmmm ... Kind'a hard to take seriously. If anyone seized the base there would be absolute Hell to pay.

Then again ... 0bama. What's he gonna do?

Its not 'closed' its on lockdown. They fear attacks from coup proponents. After all, not that anyone is even asking the question, why a coup? Because Erdogan is a puppet of NATO and he allows a foreign superpower to operate and attack the Sovereign state of Syria without a Declaration Of War from inside Turkish borders.

I agree something is no right but the only way to get news is by routers here in the US the main news media will say whatever the government tells them about the situation.

So on this occasion we may have to read what is coming in from other sources.

Not true the administration will handle it like Benghazi.

They are probably covering their ears with their eyes closed singing, "lalalalalal" as we speak.

Russians aren't operating out of Turkey. Their base is inside Syria, blasting any and all terrorists at Syrias request. Unlike NATO.

His administration can not have another Benghazi, so I am sure that as we are posting things has been move around to keep the personnel and the base safe.

Or that is what we hope for.

Or they watching this in a room drinking glasses of wine with George Bush laughing hysterically at the potential for deaths.
