let the purges begin!!!!!!!
its very obvious that erdogan had his lists of bad guys put together before the coup attempt.
how else could he,[ after barely getting his feet back on the ground ] know exactly who each person was
that supposedly supported the coup? i dont know how this was achieved but the fix seems in..somehow.
im going to wait for the dust to settle a bit, and watch.

Just remove the electronic controls and install manual ones to detonate the lens.

Not all that hard if one has the technical ability and the tools.

Nothing is foolproof.

Soltan Regib the 1st has done another Turkish style plot to upgrade his legacy even further to an improved and new delusional mad max on power in Turkey. He sadly asumes that a coup can unite him with his people again by impowering nasionalistic emotions and senses of unity among them...But the truth is,the very same people who supported him in this scenario could easilly turn against him when imformed about the truth. I am sure that will happen eventually. It is only hours past from the "attempt" and people are already talking about it globally.

Far too many people fall into the false sense of security that such skill is in short supply.

If you've got 90 potential attempts ... you'll most likely get it right or die trying.

Their contingency plans have triple contingency plans. If they have to they'll fight their way in, get the weapons secured, and fight their way out, although obviously that's a last resort.

I'm sure Delta wouldn't have a problem extracting those weapons.

I was thinking United or Lufthansa might have a better chance.

The US has 50 nuclear bombs in this madmans country!

Wtf is that?

ISIS right on the border and they have 50 nuclear bombs in that nut house Turkey!

That said it all folks.

Transporting nuclear weapons is very high risk. Fortifying them in bad locations is usually better than moving them to better locations.

A purge is .... a purge....

But are those being purged the ones who are too secular, or the ones who would lean toward another caliphate in Turkey?.

The guy in exile in the U.S., is the more caliphate oriented one, I find from my research.

The big question is what is the orientation of those being purged from positions of/to influence the young, as most of these positions seem to occupy?.

If Turkey becomes a caliphate there will be hell to pay for many in the E.U. and everywhere else in the region.

Very bad, potentially.

Turkish government under Erdogan has become Islamasized AND Dictatorial. This false coup just proves what's been obvious to many.
NATO would do well to reconsider whether Turkey is worth continued membership as they are something of a loose cannon now.

And the purge continues..

Turkey’s purge of Gulen supporters continued on Saturday with the closure of hundreds of private schools, charities and other institutions suspects of links with the US-based cleric. Ankara declared a state of emergency after a failed military coup. The decree issued by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is his first since the state of emergency was declared on Wednesday. He has ordered the closure of 1,043 private schools, 1,229 charities and foundations, 19 trade unions, 15 universities and 35 medical institutions, state news agency Anadolu reported on Saturday. The organizations slated to be shut down are suspected of links with US-based Muslim cleric, Fethullah Gulen, a former ally of Erdogan, who turned into his fierce opponent. The Turkish government accused Gulen of having a hand behind the last week’s coup attempt as well as earlier attacks on it.

This news site is very pro Syrian regime and pro Russian.. But the facts here seem correct ?
