All kinds of fun if ISIS is pulling up stakes in Iraq to relocate to Turkey. Not that I really think that's what will happen, but these days ... who knows?

The chants just reinforce the legitimacy of the coup. The military has every right to intervene under the constitution of Turkey if the government becomes too overtly religious or radically religious. It is a constitutionally secular country, and Erdogan's Islamist dictatorship is directly counter to the Turkish constitution.

Mainstream news reports the coup has failed.

Turkey will only become more radicalized.

At the moment the coup seems to be losing momentum, Erdogan will just reinforce his powers...

I'm watching a live stream from some guy in Ankara and he's marching in the streets. A helicopter just flew over and began shooting at something on the ground and gunfire can be heard in the background.

Your theory makes no sense. Why would the "NWO" topple Erdogan, who has willingly helped the US destablise much of the middle east and arm Islamist terrorist groups?

If anything the military is toppling the NWO, not trying to impose it.

Im not sure, but it seems like maybe western powers have turned on Erdogan in the last few days. In fact it seems like some kind of behind the scenes shift may be underway in a broader way.

1. Indications of a deal between Russia (Erdogans enemy) and the US involving Syria and ISIS.
2. France maybe having foreknowledge of the coup. According to another post here, they closed off some relations yesterday with Turkey?
3. Germany and France denying asylum to Erdogan... Or so it was reported.
4. The timing of this coup, right after the Nice atrack, right during the russsia/ US negotiation that might not be fully approved by the white house. Erdogan has been suspected by a lot,of folks of supporting ISIS.

Otoh Erdogan was their guy. I feel like we are missing something crucial to understanding whats going on.

It appears dictatorship and radical Sunni Islam has won in Turkey. I do hope something changes

They should've found out where Erdogan was staying and hit that within the first minute of this.

BBC reports a bomb has hit the Turkish parliament.

The Turkish army chief in the Istanbul region says that he does not support the coup. Ditto the Navy chief.

Buddy of mine just said he read that Erdogan has used snapchat to contact the media and supporters.

Anybody else picturing him using one of those animal face filters on his messages?

They show some live pictures right now on german tv, N24.
Official turkish sources say that the coup failed, the airport is full of people now again, no insurgents to see there.
But the german reporter said right now that we can´t believe anything what comes from turkish sources now.

The parliament seems to have been bombed.

Other pictures show peaceful people and armed troops on the streets, no fights.

But many people on the streets and not under curfew.
