I was beaten into submission,
My body is now out of commission,
I lied to you with an act of omission,

Comfort me, Hold me, tell me that you love me,
Still in anger, with remorse and pain,
Sadness encompasses me, again and again,
Overwhelmed and over compensated,
Dryness and dehydrated from no more tears,
Overcome by darkness and fears,

The candle does not burn bright,
Overshadowed by the night,
Shadows follow me, dare me to fall,
I need the beauty of it all,
I failed miserably, I dropped to my knees,
Hoping for a helping hand,
Mend me, send me, give me peace.
