Trump finally announced his official VP pick: Mike Pence.

I have mixed feelings about his pick. I don't know a lot about him except he appears to be pro evangelical, not big on border issues, and was for immigration of Muslims. I'm not sure why Trump would choose him. He is very much liked in his home state, and he does offer Trump more pull in that section of the country.

Trump chose Mike Pence

But Pence differs with Trump on key issues. In December, he called Trump’s proposed ban on Muslims entering the U.S. “offensive and unconstitutional,” a stand that will draw attention in the aftermath of the terrorist truck attack Thursday night in southern France. Pence is also a longtime champion of the free trade agreements that Trump denounces as a threat to American jobs.

Its official....Trump has blown it for his Clinton friends.

Could he have picked anyone worse than a Neocon, Bush arse licking, freedom hating, chicken hawk like him?

Trump had a whole pool of talent to pick from and he picked the person with the sort of neocon politics that made the US public vote Obama in.

It was always going to be Hillary for the win, the Bilderbergs ordained her in 2012.

Yet some of our American friends still think the two party system works for them.

Edit- Here's a bit more about Pence

Pense....really.....The GOP convention is going to be a cluster**** and will probably sink the RNC for years to come. Good job Donald, you just assured Clinton the presidency.

The debates will do the same thing to Donald/Pense that they did to McCain/Palin.....

I can't wait....

Thank you for this. I had only seen the bullet points brought up in other articles, now I like him a lot more. He doesn't agree with Trump on everything, but isn't that what we want? Would we want a VP butt kisser who doesn't offer different viewpoints? I like his voting record for the most part.

I wonder what influenced him to make this choice.

Of all the talented people who he could have had, and expressed interest in the position, he chooses this guy?

The hell Donald?

How can you like someone who is so against freedom and personal choice?

Exactly!

It would be likely offering Vice presidency of one of his businesses to a retard.

The hell Donald?

I find myself asking my television that almost daily it seems.

There is a strategy that says be unpredictable and do what no one expects. I, for one, am not sure he's actually intentionally following such a strategy.

I think he is a good choice. He will be a balance for Trump.
Trump needed someone not exactly like him to satisfy those who want something else.
I think he also brings ideas to help Trump balance his plans.
There are reports that Trump does not like yes-men. He likes those with their own ideas, as long as they can support their views.

Pence has legal, business and political experience.
He served in Congress, so he can help Trump navigate Washington.
He has done well as Governor of Indiana - balanced budget, improved employment....
He is popular with evangelicals, which Trump needs.

The GOP seems ok with him, as far as I can tell.
If Trump had picked someone they hate, it might have hurt him at the convention.
If Trump had picked someone they absolutely love, he might not have lasted long. They may have found some way to force their VP pick to the top (somehow) along the way.

As for the things he disagrees with Trump on, Pence is not going to have the final say on making decisions, so that is really not a big deal.
He is not going to cramp Trump's style, because he is not like Gingrich.
Gingrich would have tried to take over power if he was VP.
Christie - not a good choice. I was praying it would not be him.

So... I am ok with Pence.

I don't think his views on abortion really matter. Women are not going to lose the right to murder their babies. I like his economic, environmental, and other issues. Those who solely focus on social viewpoints appear to be willing to destroy the nation's economy and safety.

Hillary is already smashing him to bits with the female voting block.

This guy wants to go after women's reproductive organs.

Bye bye Trump.

Agreed.
If there is one thing about Trump - social issues are really not on his radar. I think they are non-issues for him.

He has opinions about abortion, but he seems to not even really want to talk about it. It is not something he is going to be concerned about. The same when he was asked about the stupid bathroom thing, which Obama made such a big deal of. Trump does-not-care. He said it is up to the states.

The President of our country has major issues to deal with - economy, national security, etc.
That should be his focus, and that is what Trump is going to do.

I never brought up abortion did I?

Personally im not a fan of it.

My points were his interfering in bedroom matters, his lack of respect of privacy, his warmongering and his desire to to remove accountability for for the CIA,NSA and FBI. O and his love of the patriot act.

What was Trump thinking? With his choice of Pense, he just lost Indiana. Not to mention most moderate Republicans.
