Pretty plain OP...

A YouTube link, with a blank statement

Write something about the video, maybe add quotes from it. Give your OP something besides "look at this youtube link".

Click bait is all I see here. . Moving on

The link needs to be fixed. However, Egypt is, in fact, in Africa. I am thinking there has been immigration from the Middle East, but the sentence seems reasonable to me.

Because it's wrong.

Skeletons and genetic analysis show that the ones near the Delta are typical Mediterranean types and the ones near Sudan are typical Sudanese. In the areas between, the population was mixed.

(and there really are differences in the "Caucasian" skulls and "Black" skulls (slight, but easy to spot once you know what they are. Eye socket shape, for one thing.))

Some were yes, but because of the proximity to the Middle East there was likely a mix. They are African, geographically speaking but there were olive skinned Middle Easterners mixed in as well. It's not something you can definitively say.

I did a paper as an undergrad on this topic. I don't have it any more, but I remember that the thinking at the time (1980s) was that much of the early Egyptologists were from Britain in the 1800s and that they could honestly not conceive of a “Negro race” building such an elaborate civilization. I still remember a quote from that paper because it was so bizarre. In it a historian from around 1860 or so described the Egyptians as “dark -skinned, thick-lipped, flat-nosed, woolen-headed Caucasians.”

Of course this was around the time that scientist were proving men were smarter than women by measuring the amount of sand a male or female skull could hold, and "proving" the proportional superiority of men.

Which time frame did the skull come from? The Old Kingdom period built the pyramids. The middle kingdom saw plenty of invasions from southwest Asia (ME), and finally the Greeks conquered in the 3rd cent. BC. By the Roman times Egypt was a melting pot.

The ancient sculptures and paintings look more like Persians and Greeks than Arabs and Black Africans.

More RACISM and denial of black history. Not surprised.

It appears that no one actually agrees, other than the fact that many conquering nations interbred with whoever the indigenous people were. Ancient Egypt race Controversy

There is a plethora of information in that article, that seems to point to an answer more along the lines of "Well, yes and no."

There have been a multitude of x rays genetic tests with different or inconclusive results. One pharoah had red hair and fair skin. Others were quite dark and described in detail by the ancient greeks as negroid with 'wooly' hair.

Egypt was multicultural.

en.wikipedia.org...

A simple Wikipedia search would of shown that. I know it's not the best source. But it's readily available to everyone.

The genetic history of the demographics of Egypt reflects Egypt's geographical location at the crossroads of several major cultural areas: Northeast Africa, Northwest Africa, the Sahara, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean.

In general, various DNA studies have found that the gene frequencies of modern Egyptian populations are intermediate between those of the Middle East, the Horn of Africa, southern Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa,[1] though NRY frequency distributions of the modern Egyptian population appear to be substantially more similar to those of the Middle East than to any Sub-Saharan African or European population, suggesting a substantially larger Middle Eastern genetic component.[2][3][3][4][5][6][7]

I imagine this post should go in the HOAX bin.

All of them. We have bodies from the predynastic era. In this predynastic burial, from Maadi (near Cairo) you can clearly see that the skull has an indented (rather than straight) chin. This "chin juts out" is typical of Mediterranean, but not sub-Saharan African.

Reference page for forensic identification of skulls by race (note that this becomes a problem in modern times, with greater cultural fluidity and more racial mixing.)

This is another page, also mentions subnasal prognathism

And you can check your understanding on this page of Bone Clones

I was speaking about the original ones... as time goes on there is more influx of other cultural groups. The "negroid" type are the Nubians.

Actually, Egypt was not just one country but two (Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt). That is why you see both the Cobra (Uraeus) and Vulture (Nehhbet) on the pharaoh's crown. Using both on the crown represented the unity of Upper and Lower Egypt.

Upper Egypt was the region between Lower Egypt and Nubia.

from wikipedia "In the New Kingdom, Nubians and Egyptians were often so closely related that some scholars consider them virtually indistinguishable, as the two cultures melded and mixed together."

Honestly... look at the skulls (not at the art) of the mummies and then look back at the pages on forensics I listed.

The videos are by people who don't know much about Egypt or art.
