This is amazing and I agree with everything he talks about. This guy is skilled in debate I swear he's on a debate forum somewhere honing in his skills.

He says the biggest problem in the black community is black men not fathering their children. He also says that black people have it easier getting into college because of affirmative action. He says because of that they actually have an easier pathway into the middle class.

He says the problem is the media is indoctrinating the youth and telling them they are victims and it's beaten into their head by the liberal media. Wow. I almost feel like this should be in the mud pit but there's just to much info in the short interview.

Here's some info on Larry Elder..

Wiki Larry Elder

Larry Elder was born in Los Angeles and grew up in the city's Pico-Union and South Central areas, Elder attended Washington Preparatory High School and later graduated from Crenshaw High School and earned his B.A.. in political science in 1974 from Brown University. He then earned his J.D. from University of Michigan Law School in 1977.[9] After graduation, he worked with a law firm in Cleveland, Ohio, where he practiced litigation. In 1980, he founded Laurence A. Elder and Associates, recruiting attorneys.

An intelligent, successful man who makes no excuses for himself and worked hard to change his life.

Much respect for this man and I agree with everything he says.

. Thank you for posting OP!! Smart man here!
He tells it like he sees it......

If what he says is true, does it mean he got some sort of a free ride into Brown and U of M law school and that his path to the middle class was handed to him?

Those were his words yes but only if that sort of affirmative action was taking place in the time he went, which as far as i know was not the case. I dont see him denying it either anyway. Quite the opposite actually what's your point?

Community college is very easy to enter, and IMHO just as good as a University depending on field of study of course.

Start with High school, or GED, from there the school can help you find placement.

The programs and infrastructure already exist.

The only thing stopping it is possible HS guidance/career councilors that suck at their job or dont give a crud, OR lack of motivation or incentive(like getting out or learning how to change the community from the inside isnt enough)

They don't even have a construction management class.

The last black person who stood up to the black community and told them how it was got "Cosby'd", because well it was Bill Cosby. They cannot have successful blacks telling other blacks to stop listening to the democrats, get educations, use their opportunities with affirmative action, father their own children and reject the thug life that they idolize.

The demise of his reputation is probably already being plotted for his uncle Tom statements, either that or BLM radicals are foaming at the mouth to go knock his door down. The Democrats won't have people disrupting their ability to stir up the voter base using racial hate and the low status in society they painstakenly maintain for their minority voter base.

what a bunch of crap...and I suppose it's the republicans that get credit for the black people that made a success of their life, only the democrats are responsible for the black people who don't make it......

The democrats don't want them to "make it". They want them impoverished and easily stirred up, gets the vote out every time.

Question. If 75% of the murders in Chicago go unsolved, then how does he know that 70% of the murders are black on black?

More then likely 70% of the murders that are solved.

Providing opportunity that leads to nothing makes for great lip service to a problem they don't really want to solve, why would they when the problem equals votes.

Why do you always attempt to hijack threads and immediately try to steer them off topic?

She is doing that because of the exact things this man is trying to warn people about in the video. The left does not want racial issues to be solved they want it to stay a conflict.

no i don't think so, he's 64 and affirmative action wasn't around when he was a teen and young twenty something.

from his wiki,

Larry Elder was born in Los Angeles and grew up in the city's Pico-Union and South Central areas, Elder attended Washington Preparatory High School and later graduated from Crenshaw High School and earned his B.A.. in political science in 1974 from Brown University. so it looks as if, he did it the old fashion way, own his own.

Affirmative action started in the 60s. Larry Elder most certainly benefitted from it as schools and many employers were searching for qualified blacks at that time. This is not to say he didn't get ahead based on his own merit, but he most certainly benefitted from affirmative action whether he wants to admit it or not.

I like Larry Elder though.

When it came to welfare but as far as i know it certaintly was not easier for a black person to be accepted into college or higher but not that it matters. Either way he is not denying it anyway he says it like it is and nothing else. Lets not allow reldra's intentions get the better of this topic.

Thats because theres no jobs in the black community. With what resources does a man father a child if he's unemployed?

People who come here illegally typically take those jobs for a lot less pay then a native black American would.

No it means he worked hard and succeeded. Just like the rest of us. Though he may have had some advantages some of us don't get.

The reason is these topics are considered taboo to SJW's. Having a conversation about race and differences between said races is discrimination. Unless said race is white and has a penis. This would actually fix the damn problem and keep African Americans off the liberal plantation. Yeah I said it... and it's true. We need more people like this to stand up!

The left has continually used the plight of fatherless African American communities to their advantage. The problem is NOT with discrimination, racism, white privilege, or the cops. Those things do exist(to a more or lesser degree) along with a militarized police force. But one hand is guiding the other here. The problem is systemic with fatherless communities.

By locking up vast swaths of African American fathers for stupid unjust charges and promoting the destruction of the nuclear family. The establishment is getting exactly what they want and need. A huge population of people completely depend on a system who will vote left out of survival instinct alone.

We are committed to the disruption of the western prescribed nuclear family

Fairly common especially in those areas I suppose.

That however does not negate that is the best course for a person in those situations, rather than holding out for a fully funded ivy league ticket, which may never happen.

So, petition these schools for proper programs that are required by the community.

It requires initiative and planning, not so easy when you can just scream racism and hope for a free ticket for being the squeakiest wheel in order to get the grease.

Perhaps a scenario such as the following:
A person witnessed a homicide taking place. However due to the location, distance or duration, the witness isn't able to provide a good description of the assailant, other than perceived ethnicity.

They'd have done it long ago...

Mr. Elder has been speaking like this for quite some time. I had the pleasure of attending a speech he gave about ten years ago--I think--and the Q and A afterwards. Nice man. Well spoken and informed. There is also, I thought at the time, and still do, there is a core of iron and steel there...not a whole lot of back down there.

...and I strongly doubt he's got the backstory that Cosby does.

Lol, Go live there. Then tell me what all is free and provided and simple.

I have.

I made it.

WITHOUT government help BTW. They wouldn't give help to my Mom, who even though she was a single Mom, was not a minority. No free lunches, no food stamps, no welfare. We made it by depending on ourselves. While living among those that had a LOT more than us, even though they were on welfare and food stamps.

Have you ever had to watch other kids show off their Christmas presents, while you got NOTHING? I have.
Have you ever smelled the food from the apartment next door, when you are hungry, but don't want to eat any of the groceries your Mom bought with the $20 she had to scrape together? I have.
Have you ever had to watch you Dad take care of another family while you went through all these struggle? I have.

Don't you preach to me about being poor. I've lived it more than most will EVER touch. I have ZERO sympathy for those who will not pull up their bootstraps and take THEIR life in THEIR hands and make themselves better. They have it so much easier today, than I did growing up. Today, they just let people keep collecting that check basically forever.

You cannot keep excusing their community. You cannot keep excusing their culture.

Because they know a bm shot a bm, and they just can't find the baker mike. Lot's of the shootings are drive by shootings, and the people know they were all bm in the car, but they won't ID them for various reasons. Most of the solved murders are also BM on BM.

You've never worked in welfare have you? I had 16 year old girls telling me that "they goin to get their paycheck soon, cause they pregnant!" She gets on the housing list early, she's going to get free section 8 housing as soon as she's 18, she's going to get extra food stamps and cash, but only if their is no man in the home.

If there were no welfare for situations as this, then girls would not be getting pregnant so young. If their Daddy was loved and respected by their mother, they would have more stability, and pride in their family. The statistics do not lie. What he said in that interview is true. Granted, the loose morality now has gotten to such a point that it would be hard to stop, but cut off the "paycheck" and you will see it slow to a trickle.

I find that hard to believe. They don't offer nursing or other classes like they do at my local community college?

www.tcc.fl.edu...

Health care is a very stable field, and they have all these classes that have great pay and opportunity.

Dental Hygiene, A.S. (2101)
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Technology, A.S. (2104)
Health Sciences A.S. (2161)
Nursing (R.N.), A.S. (2103)
Healthcare Professional to RN (2164)
Pharmacy Management, A.S (2166)
Radiologic Technology, A.S. (2149)
Respiratory Care, A.S. (2106)

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degrees

Bachelor of Science in Nursing, B.S.N. (C100)

Certificates

Central Sterile Processing Technology (6360)
Critical Care Transport for Nursing Certificate (4004)
Critical Care Transport for Respiratory Care Certificate (4005)
Critical Care Transport for Emergency Medical Services Certificate (4006)
Dental Assisting Certificate (5001)
Emergency Medical Technician Certificate (B312)
Endoscopy Technician Certificate (6361)
Nurse Assistant Long Term Care PSAV Certificate (5024)
Paramedic Certificate (6309)
Pharmacy Technician Certificate (B316)
Surgical Technology Specialist Certificate (6355)

I find it hard to believe your local community college or one fairly close doesn't offer this.

What about technical school? They have automotive, HVAC, Welding, practical nursing, culinary, massage, computer courses?

I find most people lack for willingness to try.

I went back to school at 49 cause getting a job in this town with a business degree is very hard when you've got 15 plus years experience and there are 3 universities popping out grads they can hire cheaper without family responsibility. I got my nursing degree in May and am about to take my NCLEX. I didn't sit on my ass, try to collect disability, nope I got a new skill, and I'm thrilled with what I'm doing. I plan to continue and specialize. I wish I had don't it 15 years ago!

People, if you want something badly enough, you'll find a way.
