The exact size of 2015 RR245 is not yet known, but the researchers think it's about 435 miles (700 kilometers) wide. Pluto is the largest resident of the Kuiper Belt, with a diameter of 1,474 miles (2,371 km).

Maybe this is the Planet X or Nibiru we've all been looking for?

Just a random thought, but they should start naming them after cars.I think this one should be called the planet Megane after the medium sized French family car.

I'd prefer that being a Golf driver myself. Not sure if the planet 'Beetle' would sound right though.

Somehow I get a feeling we're not going to get a serious discussion out of this.

They should call it Hillary's honesty.

I'm sure it is floating around out in space somewhere and very hard to find too.

The OP pretty much covered the serious part.
What's left?

It's ok to have some humor to it.

Well, we could discuss how it is a dwarf planet candidate (although the anouncement source calls it a dwarf planet right off the bat), and everything about it is very much an estimate rather than precise facts.

It might be much smaller than 700 km, and it might be irregularly-shaped, which would make it not a dwarf planet.

I can't believe you all want to name a scientific discovery after a car like a Beetle or Golf.
At 435 miles, it obviously a Mini.
