I have a fiance who is 33 weeks pregnant. If the nimrods work their way up to northwest Louisiana and are blocking a freeway when she goes into labor, I'm not stopping. If they're stupid enough to block a highway with cars coming and going then they deserve what they get.

And you will go to prison. So you will hardly see your child for years. Then you won't be able to get a job to support your family.

You obviously thought out your plan well.

By breaking through a crowd of people protesting illegally on the highway? No. I won't. There's a reason protesters in Louisiana get arrested for touching the street during a protest.

Dogs and fire hoses have been replaced with tasers and bean bags or rubber bullets. For good reason. So that comparisons can be deflected by bigots such as yourself.

I wasn't referencing you, though. The main stream media is very careful not to mention the civil rights movement and MLK either. They promoted the party line back then as they do today.

Crush all resistance, maintain the status quo.

Edit: "Gotta keep the black man down."

So I am a bigot huh... care to explain your reasoning or just continue to throw attacks out there with no clue about who I am or how I live my life?

Also are there not some rules about personal attacks?

are things perfect now... no... Education in inner cities sucks.. guess what thats not just a black issue... police violence.,.. also not just a black issue...or are you going to point at incarceration numbers... thats a product of the war on drugs, not whitey keeping the black man down.

Because as they say the "system is dirty as hell" so they are doing all they can to disrupt when they do this. They do all they can to get attention. The media feeds on protest like this and the BLM peeps know it so they do it more and more. Just once I'd love to see the BLM do this in the inner cities where blacks are killing blacks all day every day! I guess it's no one elses business what blacks do to each other though...

Yes, their own people. My hometown crowd works together to solve problems. We don't burn houses or businesses down or block streets or jump to conclusions before the facts are in. Doing any of that would completely defeat the purpose of BLM.

So you support EMS being forced to find a different route when they have someone that could die on board? You just don't care or what?

You do know the difference between blocking and protesting/marching, right?

Any particular reason you feel the need to resort to ad hominem insults?

Block parties, festivals, fetes and carnivals are not protests and I am not sure how you can even remotely confuse the two.

Uh... marching in the streets as a means of protest is what people have been doing all over the world since, like... forever ?!

What is the purpose of blocking a street/highway?

Uh... to draw people's attention to their whatever cause it is that they're marching for ?!

I didn't realize there was a bunch of newly landed alien immigrants to planet earth that are completely unfamiliar with this whole protest thing and how it works.

They are trying to be heard, make a point. What are they supposed to do, shut up and accept the fact that their child/father/friend/fell afro-american just got murdered for being black?

First of all, they could be normal like the rest of America. Second, nobody they've yet to protest for was killed for being black. You'll have to try harder.

The only thing I can think of is to provoke a response from police, so that when they act, they can roll with "see! the police are after us for no reason!"

because they are based on the same premise. shutting down local roads for an event. is a protest/rally not an event?
and thats what i was told by a public official, that you need a permit to shut down a street. is that what this is not about?>
dont confuse yourself. you do not need a permit to protest. its a right given to us by the constitution. what is not a right, is to block travel during said protest without a permit or prior notice.
so in closing with your argument....
you do not need a permit to protest... however you do need a permit to block traffic during said protest. just like you would need a permit to close public roads due to a concert, lawn fete, carnival, rodeo, bike race, marathon, and any other event in which your requesting your local municipality to close a road, street, or highway to hold such event.

And you are assuming a protest is static, it could be a march that traverses the town.

I will call the actual person you need to speak with next week since whomever you spoke to is obviously telling you to contact someone else.
