There were riots at the Chicago DNC convention in 1968. Some are just now learning this, since the media is doing all it can to drum up violence ahead of Cleveland.

Did the OP share the wrong link in this post? On the new topic page they have another topic right below this with a different post, but same link.

If Trump can't even unify his own party, it's just going to be a dumpster fire of a convention with the resulting election.

I don't think Trump will get enough delegates to even continue. And even if he does where will the money come from to run an effective campaign? He already had to buy an email list and beg for money. From the British....lol

Really like Gary. Just don't see him winning in the States. He'd be a shoe in up here.

Same link, two different threads.

This link has nothing to do with the title, yet somehow people starred and flagged.

Now the comments have nothing to do with the topic anymore, just a glorified circle-jerk.

Yeah I was hypothesizing as to why the link had nothing to do with the topic. Not sure why it warrants stars and flags. Didn't know if maybe they reposted the same link by mistake from the previous thread. Oh well. Carry on with the circle jerk.

Bernie, Gary and Donald are not approved by the bankers. You can have Hillary or you can have Hillary. Pick either one

Doesnt matter who anyone is voting for. Our electoral college will vote in Hillary by a landslide.

To me it is simple...follow the money of those who do donate to dems. Trump represents an unknown and may disrupt their Apple cart because he wants jobs to go to Americans.

Then why are so many of products that Trump endorses manufactured overseas?

abcnews.go.com...

Because they are all manufactured oversees and the US can not compete with our wages.

As discussed in other threads, and as Trump has said - Trump manufactures overseas for the same reasons that other manufacturers have been forced too. There are hardly any manufacturers in this country, and our government has made it cost prohibitive for manufacturers to do business here.

That is one of the things that Trump wants to remedy.

The number one cost to companies is labor. Changing regulations or trade deals are never going to change the fact that even if you pay an American minimum wage and work them part time so they have no benefits you still can not compete with workers making 50 cents an hour. You can not put the genie back in the bottle, the US is a modern nation it can not compete for low wage, no skill, sweat shop style manufacturing. It is not going to happen.

As for the OP I think they are talking about these plots to stop Trump at the convention. Ryan Trump Convention

Pretty much the GOP is damned if they do and damned if they don't. They have no illusions about Trump actually wining their big concern is how much down ticket damage is he going to do? The GOP is afraid that Trump will take the Senate and House down with him. It is kind of balancing act. You keep Trump and a large party of the GOP is either not voting or voting for somebody else. You also have no chance with Democrats or Independents. You toss Trump you loose the Trump supporters but, get back a good part of the GOP and have a good shot with Dems and Indies. And down the road the DNC will paint the GOP as with the party of Trump whom most Americans can not stand or the Party that refused to listen to its voters.

This is what they teach in economics classes today.

Back in socialism they use to tell us...The number one asset to companies is labor.

I don't care who the GOP runs at this point.

I am voting for Gary Johnson so they can do whatever they want and be ignored like they deserve. Hopefully everyone will ignore the Democrats too...we might be able to take our country back.

Best post in this thread. The two party system is a two faced coin it doesn't matter which way it flips the results will always be the same.

The link is unnamed insiders but it's interesting that Romney is supposed to show now.
Back in May all the word was he would not be there.
Could get interesting.

President Trump is just too damn scary to contemplate in any meaningful manner.

Sorry to be off topic but have you read The Dead Zone? The Trumster reminds me of Greg Stilson in the book. He also reminds me of Biff Tannin in Back to the Future. Actually, the orange one was the inspiration for Biff's character. Here

I've already said this several times to folks. Not on here. IRL.
It's scary true.

Is this an attempt to take the focus off trump and put it on Hillary? Even when the thread is about Trump?

When he fixes the stupid trade agreements that our country has gotten themselves into...

I never saw Trump as much of a fixer - but I can definitely see him hiring one every once in a while

The last plot I heard was a legal case to unbind all delegates in the first round.
edition.cnn.com...

It might work too. A long shot, but if it does happen there will be chaos.

If the GOP pulls something like this, they are going to lose a huge majority of their voters.

It would be the end of the Republican party, and they would never hold any office at any level again.

The GOP as we knew it is already over - that happened with the Tea Party. Trump is just the last straw

If they dump Trump? All bets are off. It would be interesting to see though - this might be a godsend for the conservatives. Reboot

You can't actually believe that the entirety of what's calling itself the GOP right now supports him?
