The streets are jammed
With shiny killer robots
All programmed
To destroy

They have no fear
No empathy to speak of
They patrol the streets
All whirring gears

Alloy skeletons
Armed to the teeth
They shoot to kill
And never miss

The streets are watched
By blood splattered
Shiny robots
Programmed to kill

They roam the roads
And dark alley ways
Red laser seeking
A moving target

Humanity is obsolete
Machines patrol the streets
Synthesised voices say
"Halt human"

And the whir of
Machine gun fire
Humanity is obsolete
Robots patrol the streets

In the future
Things look grim
A cyberpunk reality
All logged in

A technocratic
Umbra
Shadows over all
Singularity

And machines
Patrol the streets

Good one! For some reason the title made me giggle. I guess it makes me think of REM's Shiny Happy People.

You're so welcome lol. I'm always happy to be a bad influence in some way.

Thanks for sharing. Kind of reminds me of something I wrote years ago called Rats That Dwell.
