The lack of gay James Bond movies proves Hollywood is homophobic!

So every bond villain would be gay in future or are we taking away one of the core components of bond, sleeping with those that are dating/close with the villain.

I'm not homophobic but I personally would not enjoy multiple kissing/undressing/ near sex scenes throughout every bond movie. What bond does in his own time is up to him, but when I pay to go watch it I personally would not want to see it.

It would also be confusing for small children not exposed to this before they saw the movie.

If past Bond films were family friendly, where he had a lady friend, or the villain... why wouldn't a Bond film with a boyfriend be? No one said anything about undressing or near sex scenes, you did.

Bond films are normally at least PG. That means Parental Guidance suggested. If you cannot guide them, do not bring them.

I'm gonna assume you have never watched bond? So turn him gay but strip the sexual nature of the bond character. How much further are we gonna destroy the character the author once created.

I was hoping for a bond with no limbs. Would make the fight sequences unique and the sex scenes very different, plus it would appeal to another minority.

Each film he should have a different disability. Sod him being gay. Go through the DSM manual and you got another 10,000 movies.

The only reason James Bond should not be black or gay is purely money related. Trust me if a white JB were to show somewhere nobody could relate to him, they'd soon change him to anything that is needed.
JB so far is mainly known as an English gent from the books who like shagging lots of ladies. The target audience are Brits or Americans or people around the world who want to see a white Brit in the role.

If JB were to be remade for India for example, I'd fully expect the hero to be Indian. If remade in The Rep of Kongo, I'd expect him to be black and in the fairy land of Amazonia, I think a strong woman should play him.
If anywhere on earth there were enough gay people expected to watch it..hey I'd expect him to be gay nothing to stop any gay people to enjoy him anyway...].

Whatever the largest target audience is what JB will cater to.

There is no 'phobia' of any kind involved and no I personally wouldn't like to see a black or gay or female JB just to please a few. Nobody is stopping any filmmakers to invent another hero with those traits. Hey knock yourself out. Who knows, might be a hit. But leave JB alone.

I say they remake The Birdcage with all straight characters first.

In my opinion, if there is anyone who can pull off a gay James Bond, it would be John Barrowman AKA Captain Jack Harkness from DR Who/Torchwood. He's Scottish (prefers to talk with an American accent), has great charisma, wicked sense of humor and of course, is actually a gay man himself.
