Heavily Armed White Man Arrested Alive After Shooting at Police Officer

The racist double standard in American law enforcement continues.

62-year-old William Bruce Ray, who is white, was arrested alive Tuesday afternoon by police in Wake County, North Carolina, despite pointing his shotgun at oncoming traffic and even firing a .22 caliber pistol at officers responding to the scene. According to local media, Ray threatened deputy D.R. Farmer with his shotgun before reaching for the handgun in his pocket, saying, “I got something for you.”

Well this doesn't help the situation regarding the other two shootings. Went out of their way to keep this suspect alive, so what would the excuses be now?

I can't believe we've come to the point where we(or the OP anyways) are DISAPPOINTED that the guy WASN'T killed.

White privilege doesn't exist. Why is that the demographics that are "privileged" are the ones that face the most discrimination nowadays. Women are more likely to get STEM jobs over men despite equal performance. Blacks and Hispanics have lower standards placed on them in higher education than Whites or Asians. See my other comment.

You're suggesting he should have met the same fate of those two. Whoever they are. Maybe take a look at my response to what you've said. Look at some statistics before saying this is about race. No one cares if a white is killed by cops. That isn't newsworthy apparently, but it happens.

More Whites are shot in sheer number but percentage-wise, it's more Blacks. White is about 72% of the country and Black is about 13% of the country. Yet the numbers of Blacks shot is more than half the amount of Whites shot by the police at White-494 to
Black-258.

Yep. Funny, too, when you consider the disproportionate amounts of crime by race.

Can't figure the OP out. Is it just race baiting?

Instead of seeing this as an example of how the system is rigged against black folks, wouldn't it make more sense to try and find out why the cops involved in this case felt they were able to deal with this fella without killing him? And if it's something that can be transferred (through training) to other cops?
