Alone in my room and it begins,
50 rockets fly over my house.

Sounds like we are going to the moon,
As my feelings cave a boom I felt shakes my room.

Under the bed I lay,
Hoping this is not my last day.

Of might and fright I pray,
Please don't blow my house away.

Now it's getting closer and louder.
I jump from under my bed.

Running to my front door to escape I realized it's Just The 4th of July...🇺🇸

Happy fourth. That reminded me of the great firework war of 2010. I almost got blown up by an idiot that launched one of those mortar things. Bottle rockets were flying everywhere. Fireballs were flying. Here I am dodging stuff. My sister's boyfriend at the time was careless where he launched stuff.

I hope it doesn't get loud here. My dog gets scared from the booms.

It was even scarier when one of the mortars rolled under a car.

She'll be fine. She'll hide under the kennel. I'll have to coax her out later. Poor girl.
