Drifter

I'm a drifter, I have a gift for, living life from day to day,
See many faces, pass through places, but I never choose to stay.
I live so free, it's just me, and a bottle of whiskey I hold tight,
For I have found, it helps choke down, all my demons every night.

I never stay, I won't ever stay, before long I'm on the run.
Won't stick 'round, leave this town,when the day is nearly done.
Spend my nights, in desperate fight, for freedom from my sins.
But in the day, keep them at bay, all those dirty little demons.
