Two explosions have hit the main airport in Istanbul, a Turkish official has said, with reports saying around 40 people have been wounded.

Turkish broadcaster Haberturk said that 40 people had been taken to hospital.
Hand grenades were thrown and police opened fire on the attackers, Haberturk said.
One of the explosions happened at the domestic terminal, while another happened at the international terminal, NTV reported
Government officials told CNN Turk that at least one of the blasts may have been a suicide attack.
Taxis were ferrying the wounded from the hospital, witnesses told CNN Turk.
More than a dozen ambulances were also seen rushing to the scene.

Turkey bans reporting of terror attacks so it will be very difficult for locals to get news once the scene is secured and things settle down.
