Communism generally tries to destroy the culture of a nation. The culture has to be destroyed in order for international socialism to win.

Socialist, in terms of the Nazis, Volksgemeinschaft, was about a unification of it's people under a banner of ultra-nationalism and supremacy. Their economic policies were anti-communist and anti-socialist.

The term socialist is just as much understood as the term "well-regulated" is today in terms of the 2nd amendment.

Exactly. National socialism was about a racial supremacy and that is why the term 'socialism' was used to exemplify the ideals of the "Volksgemeinschaft"...the supreme race's collective.

Ultra-nationalism/patriotism was used to unify the people to fall in to the Volksgemeinschaft for the sake of obliterating communism, economic socialism and inferior races.
