To me, Momento represents the confusion in which most people exist. Just as the protagonist of the film only knew what was happening in his
life based on short little notes, most people wander blindly through life in the same way. Tiny threads of ideas lead us through our lives in the same
way that little scribbles lead the protagonist of Momento to his ultimate fate. Just as in the film, most people can never be sure if their
decisions are correct because they're dealing with shreds of information.
pretty obscure but I liked 'Female on the Beach', with Joan Crawford and Jeff Chandler. (Natalie Schaeffer, aka Mrs. Thurston Howell III on
Gilligan's Island, has a small role.) Woman inherits beach house and has issues. maybe better described as a 'melodrama' than a noir; I'm not hep to
the technical differences.
