and move on

Why is this about me? The point is that the forum is inactive. Nobody seems to be posting in it. If so many of you want to keep it open then by all means let it stay and welcome.

But I must say I don't see too many posts in that forum from the gang here who seem to want to keep it open just because they think its existence makes me lose sleep at nights.

Except for good old edmc2 of course. Though even he's been quiet lately...

I think what Asty doesn't realize is that ATS has new members signing in and have no idea what topics are being discussed in that forum. As an ATSer I've gathered information from the opposite side of the discussions - things that I haven't thought of. So closing it down as adamantly suggested is counter productive. This is why this site was created in the first place. Actually, there's no site like ATS in WWW. The more forum to discuss stuff - is better than less.

So Asty, reconsider your proposal.

Edit:

BTW - I still go there from time to time to read stuff. Stuff that you can't find anywhere else. Just because you "think" nothing's going on in there doesn't mean it's dead.

I think that the 2012 Forum should be renamed the "Failed Prophesies" Forum.

Two new threads in the O&C forum today.

One crashed and burned in two pages.

The other asks a question that has been asked and answered on the forum at least five hundred times before.

Seriously, does ATS need this nonsense?

Curious - which one is nonsense to you:

Creation?

Or

Evolution?

To me, it's the later, since the evidence for Creation is undeniable.

And there is a perfect example of the problem. The nonsense wasn't even referring to creation vs evolution, but how quick members are to jump in defense of their "undeniable" truths, again, with the same old arguments.

Exactly. This is what the O&C Forum is all about — and now it’s spilling over into this thread.

Exactly! Perfect example of the problem. You and Asty want to shut it down because you consider other opinions as "nonsense ". Hence yours alone merits recognition.

Perfect example of dictatorship.

"I'm right so your voice don't matter"

BTW where do you suppose the discussion of Evolution vs Creaton should be at if your command prevails?

Nice deflection, you still jumped the gun and went right into the spiel.

Can't speak for Astyanax but I don't think other's opinions are nonsense. Once again, the "nonsense" is people posting their opinons over and over as if that is going to change anything.

I don't know what you mean by my command and I was quite clear in my first post that there should be a religious mud pit so people can sling some mud and vent. Let's be honest, that is what forums are really about and this "discussion" is all but dead.
