I get tired of hearing the news media talking heads saying that AR-15's are designed to kill. AR-15's and the like AND military rounds in general are designed to wound NOT kill. Wounding an enemy soldier takes more soldiers off the battlefield than killing enemy soldiers. These kinds of weapons are designed to wound. I don't understand why no one calls them on this more often.

This is, quite possibly, the stupidest post I have ever seen in my entire life. No. It's a gun. It kills people. That's the point.

Which tells me that you know NOTHING of firearms... and you have never met a shooter

The AR-15 sucks. Yes, it kills people, but a .22 LR could have done the job far more efficiently. Hell, my dogs are more lethal than an AR-15. Are we gonna ban dogs now?

Really !! Maybe Bryant should have used dogs instead of an AR15 at port Arthur

He would have done far better with a .308 or a .300 Win Mag.... the .300 Win Mag is a better round

Port Arthur:A guy in Austrailia who shot some people scared them JUST like a school scared the UK into giving up semi auto hi cap fire arms

And that affects how I load my shotgun?

Should I load 00 Buckshot before Slugs, or after?

Better yet, I will let my 90 lb. Belgian hit you full force, in the chest.

She can decide...

I was only curious because in an exchange with one of resident leo's in a thread was explaining how easy it was to pick off so many people with a rifle like he had.....i was just trying to get the picture being limited in my gun knowledge.....inconsistencies like this make it very difficult for the layman

I hear that in places where roads get snow they put salt on the roads and that's bad for cars too.

I get it is sore point and or my lack of knowledge does your head in but here is the quote i am struggling with, and i get you and phage are having a laugh but you did say the AR 15 is pretty crap and i was wondering how Bryant killed so many people so quickly with a such a weapon...

I'm sorry the mechanics of close range shooting in a crowded room with a high powered weapon are so incomprehensible to you. I can't really dumb it down any more than it already has been.

The AR 15 is good for what it's meant to do. Deliver a bunch of lead.
The point is, what's the point besides killing a bunch of people? Or do you think there's a good reason for killing 50 deer?

He wasn't firing an AR-15. It was a Sig-Sauer. Get it right

Myself an Mr. Phage I am sure did not mean to marginalize a tragedy. like I said, I retired from the "killing people" business... with that being said, you have to agree that"strange things are afoot"

The Ar15 is a poor choice in close quarters if you are going for mass effect as well. It's a carbine.
A Vepr 12 with a shot spreader would be FAR more effective, but we aren't dealing with warriors here, we are dealing with criminals.
