As I understand it, what they don't like, traditionally, is being called "English".
"British" hasn't been a problem so much; though they do find it ironic that a sportsman born in Scotland suddenly gets called "British" when he starts winning. E.g. Andy Murray.

What is facist about pointing out and making fun of a facist?

The logic of your argument eludes me entirely?

I am with you m8.
Here in Edinburgh, Scotland, we don't get offended by the hate anymore
We treat it like a fart in a waiting room..
We look at each other, dying to laugh...lol

Because the Nazi's rose to power pushing socialism.

Which Scotland voted to 'remain' a part of.

If I read this wrong, Sorry.
But Scotland voted to remain at well over 50%

No matter how many stars you wish on, how many times you cross your fingers...etc Trump will not be president.

All polls see him losing and when the majority of America votes, they will vote for anyone but him, too bad the alternative is Hillary.

I will give him props though, thanks to him more minorities, young people and women are lining up to vote against him. This will be one a** kicking the right will remember for years.

Imagine he is doing this to help Hillary, divide an entire nation, get Bernie involved with that awful 'Don't know you are poor unless you are [INSERT BRANDED NAME HERE]
What if this is the real story? If do, it's working VERY WELL...
Just fonting out loud m8

The anti trump hippies should all put in jail and learn not to joke with the holocaust.
11 million people were killed during the Holocaust.

EDUCATE YOURSELF MY FRIEND
You say "11 million people were killed during the Holocaust"
Doesn't even make sense. But many nations and people lost, why do people still playing Jewish victim card? That era has gone, Jews these days do ok or themselves, as do other people, Countries that lost. Bad argument for a backwards story, always

It was a put down of Trump, a reference to his immigration stance, not the Holocaust.

Yeah, totally why we mock him.
Imagine Donald Trump running the USA, and England/Wales/NI being ruled by Boris Johnson

That would be a laugh, till law was made up.
This is possible!!

That's a great way to look at it.

I think it's necessary though, just occasionally, to see the wood for the proverbial trees where hate is concerned. It doesn't matter if there's some lunatic hoody, can of Stella in hand, shouting the odds and making himself look an idiot, because although it might be a middle finger raised to those who fought for his freedom to express himself, he has no power, and cannot do more than a single mans worth of damage to those he considers his enemies.

When a man like Trump allows hate to be a defining part of his campaign, and indeed, his so called policy, it has ramifications for millions of people, assuming he gets his way.

Oh, and on a totally different note, that comment about the sheeps innards nearly caused me to spurt tea out of my nose when I saw it, so I can only imagine how much it must have tickled you!

Well, I am for Trump and even I find this stuff to be funny. Except for the NAZI golf balls though. Isnt there laws against that stuff in Britain I thought? Scotland has their right to leave, and they should if they want too.

My kids are half-Mexican. Nobody in this family is offended.

What's offensive to me is spreading malicious lies about other people. To snicker about it is even worse. We do not have the same perspective, obviously.

The last time I was really offended by any expression was at my first reading of De Sade’s 120 Days of Sodom.

So are you offended now, or just engaging in hyperbole?

Orwell was right as always—“if liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear”. Freedom in any society is ultimately the freedom for those who think and express themselves differently. Sadly no one wants to hear or even support this notion.

Well I guess Scotland should have built a wall to keep him out.

Hadrian already took care of that. Didn't work then, either.

Many empires and warlords went easy on Scotland.
There is some legend story to it...

This is definitely a more humane way to protest against Donald Trump than beating up supporters, like low IQ goofballs do here in America. Donald is smiling because he knows that every protest brings even more attention to his desire to make America greater.

For real?

Such short memories.

Wait a minute, if Trump was in Scotland, why are they using British insults?

Naw, insults by Scottish are best. This thread title gave me hope..

...Then others started changing the subject

Trump pays people to do things, the fact you can buy POTUS is strange. You would think at least an education in something political is needed, basically handing the Nuclear buttons to idiots/
And this thread has been fun to be fair, lol

How do Scots feel about being called British?

probably the same as a Canadian being called a yank.

or a Kiwi being called an Aussie.

Anyway, the Don is a walking gold mine of comedic remedies, everyone has toupee the price.

Well, not quite... as they are actually British!
