I'm not sure how to feel. I mean I get it, I dislike the system and the global powers as much as anyone. But I can't help but feel a little suspicious that there is much more to this than we know, and that this is all being allowed to happen for a reason.

So the last country out is left 'holding the bag'.
There should be a rush for the door soon.

It smells strange to me as well. It's been too easy. No one expected this.

Looks like a rolling snowball effect might be moving within the E.U.

Some countries are suggesting doing a vote for Stay or leave too.

Well, didn't the bible say something about their being only 10 Kings.

The European Union is only supposed to be composed of 10 Nation States, according to scripture.

I think there were something like 28 or so, now, so there's alot of "shedding" before we get to the point where the EU matches the Prophesy in the Book of Revelations.

How would that work? They all have much more to loose, they pay in €.
While I hope the UK will be fine, others have very different circumstances.

I wonder why no one is calling this what it really is: The second failure of Socialist government.

Have you ever lived in a socialist country ?

Actually, political union has always been part of the deal, right from the start in the early 1950s.

Us Brits weren't aware of this in the 1970s when the thing was foisted upon us. We thought we were joining a 'common market', and our politicians kept shtum about the political union thing, because the people would never have swallowed that.

In all situations i love the use of *words* the innuendos the subtleties of our

language the twisting of meanings.

So in the 70's the people were told they were joining a *common market* "just

for easier trading
. Then suddenly the politicians started referring to the

*European community* nice warm cuddly sounding togetherness? Then it started

being referred to as the *European Union* strong words .... intimating a union? a

marriage? a much tighter bond ? ever closer unity?

So there you have it ... underhanded? sneaky? imposing further pressure

toward ever closer intergration

The technique of *softly, softly catchee monkey*

Here is a bet, if any of the countries mentioned leave the EU in the next 5 years i will delete my ATS account, same goes for you who claim the opposite. What say you ?

I know we have been told that if we levee we will never get back in - but does anyone, when they think about it actually believe it?

I dare say Merkel might get a shock were she to ballot her own people as well in the light of BREXIT.

Not to mention her championing of the open invasion of her Country - and all of Europe - by millions of poor, uneducated malcontents who are not going to behave or integrate.

Germans, just like those in Sweden and other nations that have been overrun by "migrants" due to the EU's open border policies (even open to people from countries outside of the EU apparently), are eventually going to rebel.

Germany has a certain collective guilt-complex due to what they did in WWII to various groups (and not just the Jews), and feel they need to redress by not turning away people who are in need - but there will come a point where they will just have to say enough is enough.

No Country, or society, can long survive a constant tsunami of peoples of different languages and cultures swarming in and taxing the resources of their new hosts, whilst contributing little or nothing themselves (save the economic benefits of their spending the handouts they are being given).

Great Britain was just the first to put some common sense brakes on the whole thing (and it was not just Middle-eastern men who were flowing in - it was people from Eastern European Countries who were arriving in throngs to take advantage of England's generous welfare systems).

ETA...and meanwhile, in the USA, the Obama/Kerry/Clinton worldview is that we should all just get used to the "reality" that we are about to enter a globalized, borderless world - and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

Except that there is plenty that we can do to stop this disastrous downward spiral...and Great Britain just took step one.

I freaking love the British. The talk is all polite sounding....but they are a rowdy and raucous bunch.

I love sticking it to the man even more. And stuffing one in the EU's eye fits that bill. For good or bad, be independant.

Did you see the look on Merkel's face? She looked just like a freshly gelded horse.

And, was that a guy with a blocked mustache standing behind her?

I agree about Merkel but have to disagree with you over the claim that this was a socialist government, in now way was it.

The EU legislature was/is corrupt and represent very vested interest's.

In fact they actually tried to emulate the US but perhaps mor what the US was supposed to be, A government of the People, By the People and For the People which is also called Social Democracy and not to be confused with Democracy which was a greek concept of the Ruling class of Greek aristocracy in a slave society voting on action's of the state such as the Council of Athen's.

The european Union claimed to be for the people of Europe but in fact it never was and it also was never socialist, it made a poor mockery of any form of democracy also, Austerity was never a socialist ideology and neither was bailing out the Banksters.

Apparently, it's time to start dumping immigrants...

'MOVE JUNGLE TO UK' Calais mayor sparks furious row after demanding that squalid migrant camp be moved to Britain

THE mayor of Calais says migrants living in the Jungle camp and others in France should be moved to Britain so Brits “take the consequences” of Brexit.
