Is this a bad day for socialism?

The very least its a bad day for centralism, crony capitalism and tyranny.

Congrats to our UK brethren!! (hopefully soon to be fully official) Very happy for you guys! I'm sure it will be rough for a bit but we know you will be stronger in the end. How long until Parliament's vote comes in? Maybe it will be on the 4th?? 🎆

Well said. This Brexit (what a bloody stupid word for it) has come about thanks to the far right and the xenophobic. This isn't a victory this is a loss. Still, I'm Scottish so there's a small chance we'll be back in the EU soon but that's a discussion for another day...

I'm sure you will now have another independence referendum, then you can go running back to the dependency of the E.U.

If enough people want it, we will. Scotland isn't like the rest of Britain (which is why we typically vote very differently in National Elections).

The funny thing is that all the Scottish Landowners and farmers that were so staunchly against Scottish Independence were also very opposed to the Brexit. It will be very interesting to watch how this unfolds. I think of i lived in England I would have wanted to leave. Same as a lot of you English folks might have voted otherwise if you lived up here.

Your comment was actually fairly ignorant and makes it seem like you have no understanding of the reasons Scotland might want to be in the EU, surely not?

No, I'm not ignorant of why you need the dependency of the E.U, that's why I said you should have your independence and get back in.

So what are the terrorists thinking? Is this EU departure GOOD or BAD from their perspective?

Cameron has resigned.

To be exact, "has promised to resign within three months".
The clue that somthing like that was going to happen was when his wife walked out with him.

This votes to be more symbolic than anything. The UK still needs its trade with the EU and so all the regulations, freedom of movement ect. will still be the same. It seems to put the UK at disadvantage in trade and likely will cost them Scotland. I hope things do not go nearly as bad as all the experts predict. It just sort of feels like you watched a friend shoot themselves in the foot.

Only When the USA agrees to join a union with the likes of mexico, columbia and Venezuela that hands over its sovereignty by setting up a body that surpasses your supreme court, denys you the ability to form your own trade deals and gives equal work, welfare and settlement rights to non usa citizens in that union you will have point......

That's the exact reasons we wanted Independence from the UK, but when we wanted it, it was selfish and wrong...
