It was 38 C (100 F) last weekend with the humidex.

It can get really hot here.
But this "summer" so far has been mostly rain. July is when we will see it get really hot.
For about 2 weeks, mid to the end of July, we can see temps as high as 40 C. (104 f)

WOW! Yah lying is not good, but in Your case I can see it as a necessary evil.
I would have probably flipped out if that happened here!
But accidents do happen so...

Speaking of sneaky, My Mom years ago found something in somebody's junk out for pick up,
and took it to a store and got a full refund on it! I freaked when I heard that!
If You knew My Mom, You would barely be able to believe that story!
Just goes to show what We, Humans, are capable of I guess?! LOL!!
Afterwards I thought it was kind of clever!

She could take nearly anything and turn it into an item to make money off of.
Very Crafty She was!! She made a lot of Money at Craft sales!!
I miss Her a lot...

Sorry to hear about your boss retiring.
But if they have to the means to retire in this day and age, they must have done something right!

So sad to see the devastation from the storms and so many lives affected.

Mac, if your family likes crafts, check out youtube for ideas. They have some great tutorials on all kinds of crafts. That's where I learned how to do the bead weaving by hand to make the earrings like the Native American Indians. Tons of ideas on all kinds of things!
