It has not gotten any better and if it has gotten any better. It has only gotten better slightly over the past twenty four hours. We are scheduled to
be three feet above the thirty foot flood stage by 6AM. A thirty three foot flood stage means that parts of Charleston along the river will be
covered. Magic Island, US 60 and State Route 61 at Patrick Street, some parts of Kanawha Boulevard, and the back parking lot of the Charleston Civic
Center will be underwater.

This is the Great Kanawha River just southeast of Charleston at Lock 5 at Marmet. The first shot is looking over at the power plant and the Lock
Master's office at around 9 yesterday evening. The second shot was taken about four hours later at a different spot looking across the water. As you
can clearly see, the spot where the previous shot was taken is now under water.
This was the last photo I took before I walked back over to the house and grabbed the video camera. We are looking down the steps that lead down to
the fishing pier that is usually visible.
We need some positive vibes and prayers sent out for us tonight and over the next several days. A lot of people here have been affected and the long
road to recovery has only just begun. Some people here in Kanawha County and across the state have already lost their lives in this disaster.
