No need to be offensive really. People who show an interest deserve respect. Correct them but damn, why offend them?

You seem to have thought this through, right?

I disagree with you, and I have also thought this through.

I won't waste my nor your time saying why now, too late.

Fair enough.

I am aware of what the UK is. My apologies for the miscue. I wasn't being willfully ignorant.

I do understand how some take offense to it a little, though, to be fair.

I'm very impressed and a bit envious of the Brits right now.

Do you guys ever have referendums to vote on policies in America?

Nothing of this magnitude. It happens in small loacalities, but I have no idea how something of this scale would turn out.

We're lucky if half of us turn out to vote for president.

It was rude. No one feels offended by somebody's lack of knowledge, at least they shouldn't. They may feel more knowledgeable, but angry? Makes no sense.

The UK is an absolutely fantastic place. I have great memories of people there, both in Scotland and in England. I think there is some stress at the moment, though, perhaps a little defensiveness in some ways.

Wonderful, glorious country, though. Very beautiful and highly civilized people, despite what you sometimes see in the news.

I'm going to say Remain will win by around 1%

But I need sleep so I'll wait for the morning to see the result

Okay, so if England beats out the other two can Scotland or Ireland take a second vote to stay in the EU?

ETA: I know this is not the final result.

I love Scotland. Absolutely wonderful country. The highlands might be the most beautiful place on earth. It's just a shame that the Scots are so anti-England that they are cutting off their nose to spite their face in this referendum.
