When people are referred to as he or she, its based on their bodies, not their mind. So why don't transgenders just accept that and be humble about it? Why are they so insecure, and forcing everyone to change? Why don't they change their insecurities instead?

Let me make it as simple as possible for you.

Let's take intersex people as an example.
Doctors and parents used to decide their genders at birth by fixing the "abnormalities" at birth.
Now when they grow up and tell you they know they are of different genders, will you tell them to suck it up and accept the reality of their biology?

We are not talking about intersex people. We are talking about transgender people who are born with normal chromosome pairs, who mentally believe they are the opposite sex.

We are not talking about doctors choosing the wrong sex organ to cut away at birth.

But to answer your question... yes, I would tell them to suck it up. They were born with a birth defect, life sucks, move on.

The problem with brain scans is that they are taken after the person claiming to be transgender has been prescribed neurological (anti-depressant, etc) pharmaceutical and/or opposing hormonal treatments. Those will alter the brain chemistry and 'wiring'.

Unless and until we get:
1) A large cross section archive of actual scans taken from unadulterated brains of supposed transgenders, and
2) A large cross section archive on scans from normal people who know what sex they are but have been treated with equivalent doses of those neurological (anti-depressant, etc) pharmaceutical and/or opposing hormonal treatments (which is much trickier)

...any assertions drawn from that minimal data set is flawed. No good. Not really worth drawing any valid conclusions. Bunk.

Even then, brains are unique and very complex. Although we all have similar brain structure, the wiring itself is different for everyone. Just like all humans have 2 hands with 5 fingers, but we all have unique palm prints and finger prints.

We may never be able to map the brain fully because of this. However, that doesn't mean we could never find wiring similarities, and figure out how to wire things differently. Its all a matter of time.
