Tried to flag a couple threads ebded up with message saying flag failed ? Is there a secret trick to flagging that missed ?

There are some things you can't do without a minimum number of posts. Possibly flagging is one of them. I think the number will be small. Be patient.

That's correct. I was also confused about this when I was a newbie. If I remember correctly, the number is 25 posts, then flagging is unlocked.

you must complete the training, There is no "TRY", you either flag a thread or not, that is why you flag fail..

How do i star/flag a thread?

Using my phone as it's easier than my laptop etc, on my phone it's all green squares (weird) but manage to comment just not star/flag, got well over 25 comments and two threads, maybe mobile view doesn't have this function?
