Even before Vostok froze over I'd bet you anything it wasn't out creating zombies.

Wait ... frozen lake with new forms of life + weather being too bad to risk flying in and out easily != horrible disease that will kill off the entire globe.

Those are some huge leaps of logic there considering the weather issue is a routine one in Antarctica.

Also, it's one person sick and not even necessarily with anything related to an organism. That person might have cancer or something.

Yup one heck of a jump. Some how "hey look new life" = zombie. Must have taken some mental hoops to jump to that ending. We don't even have any details on the stuff they've found yet. Just a "hey looks it's new".

But if we get zombie I hope it's the walking kind not the runners, just call me old fashioned.
