Hello all

I just came across this and figured it was worth sharing on here. The Tampa Bay Times published an interactive map of the Pulse Nightclub shooting.

Choice and Chance

It tells the narrative according to multiple survivors of the tragic event and gives a walk through of what occurred that night with a digital map of the club's interior. I figured it'd be a good reference for anyone who is interested in studying the shooting that night. Just a warning it is somewhat dramatized so keep that in mind.

Cheers

How much amo did the shooter have. Multiple people talk about tons of bullets. If 100 people were shot at least once, many seem to be shot more than once.

Was there another shooter
Or
Are did the cops shoot that many people, only to blame it on the shooter?

264 rounds.
He was firing a .223 at very short range and depending on the ammo, it's moving anywhere from around 3000 feet per second, up to 3750 fps. It's not a stretch to imagine some rounds were through and through, hitting people on the other side.

.223 Remington Bullet weight/type Velocity Energy
36 gr (2 g) JHP 3,750 ft/s (1,140 m/s) 1,124 ft·lbf (1,524 J)
55 (3.5 g) Nosler ballistic tip 3,240 ft/s (990 m/s) 1,282 ft·lbf (1,738 J)
60 (3.9 g) Nosler partition 3,160 ft/s (960 m/s) 1,330 ft·lbf (1,800 J)
69 (4.48 g) BTHP 2,950 ft/s (900 m/s) 1,333 ft·lbf (1,807 J)

He was also using a 9 mm pistol and, again, depending on ammo used.....

Bullet weight/type Velocity Energy
8.04 g (124 gr) FMJ 360 m/s (1,200 ft/s) 518 J (382 ft·lbf)
