I have searched a bit and I can't find another instance in which the govt admitted changing the transcript of a 911 call. Anyone else know of any?

It'll be released eventually. They always are. But the delay will, of course, lead to even more suspicion.

How did we ever cope before the days of all this instant (and for the most part mostly erroneous) earlly information and the demands for it? Makes ya wonder if maybe this doesn't go to part of the problem.

Feel better?

Calling out mob behaviour and hypocrisy? You betcha.

Maybe I missed something, but it didn't seem like you were happy the FBI released an unedited transcript. Forgive me if I am out of the loop. What mob behaviour and hypocrisy are we talking about here?

Not the same God.
Christians believe Christ is God. Muslims and Jews do not.
So changing Allah to God in the transcript is a big deal.

Keep putting it out there tho it will stick with those who don't know the difference.

Hmm, that transcript seems a little too convenient if you ask me...

OMG, you guys really enjoy twisting a person's words around here, don't you? Or perhaps it's a problem with reading comprehension? I know english as a second language can be somewhat of a barrier but you 'understanding' the complete opposite of what I said, and giving my words a totally different angle... well, let's say I understand now why so many people get tired of the keyboard warriors on this place.

Anyways, since it's such a beautiful morning on my little corner of the world, I am willing to set the record straight, for your and your fellow members' benefit. I live in Venezuela. I have been and continue to be part of the 'extremist groups' that you mention, fighting 'government oppression' in my country. Alas, my weapons have always been nothing more than rocks, flags, banners, against batons, tear gas, rubber bullets, real bullets, even. What I have done in my country is considered pretty much illegal (though our constitution guarantees the right) and though I was very lucky to have outrun the National Guards that set after me, some of my friends weren't so lucky. They are still rotting in jail, 3 years later.

All we did was protest a totalitarian regime that has for years worked to ensure the oppression and subjugation of our nation under communism. Socialism, they call it, but as Fidel once said, it's just 'the same thing'. Of course, if you ask the government and their acolytes, we are 'terrorists' and 'agitators'. Very orwellian, to be honest, given we were a majority of college kids protesting in the streets and trying to bring about a regime change and elections.

So forgive me if I consider your analogy of PATRIOTS FIGHTING GOVERNMENT OPPRESSION (there, in caps to see if you get it now) to islamic extremism rather offensive.

Now, you are free to continue to twist and turn my words to suit your agenda. Honestly, I couldn't care less, as the seams are showing, and they are not mine.

Don't blame me for your post, I only responded to it.

No, I didn't compare ISIS to American "Patriot" groups. And no, I don't think any reasonable person would say that I think they're the same thing. They're not, one group is made up of mostly "weekend warriors" and of course a very few actual purely American traitors.

Since you so generously allowed me to actually speak in my behalf, I'll do so.

To excuse one group of enemies calling for America's destruction while whining and crying about another group doing the same thing is absurd.

But no, I'm not saying that ISIS, a group that has killed tens of thousands of people, is the same as Joe Bob's Homegrown Militia, who, at least in most cases to this point, has done nothing more than shoot guns and drink beer on the weekends.

However, if either side is calling for the destruction of the United States, I consider them enemies and traitors.

Does that clear it up for you? Peachy.

If that 50 seconds is indeed all there is, and if that's what and all they redacted, primarily, in my opinion, the leader dude's name so as not to empower him further, this is a mountain-molehill situation.

Convenient to what? A narrative? For who? The DoJ or FBI in some way? Not quite sure what that means exactly.

The overreaction overall to the redacting of a name, and as illustrated on this site in another thread. Question all you want. That's fine by me. But if the DoJ or LE made a decision the odds are 50-50 there were reasons for it and whether a person agrees with those or not, that's just how it is.

My opinion? The dude flipped his wig and went for the attention that would gain him, making a call like that, making a mark in history and in the minds of some. Guess he got what he wished for.

I should have been clearer. Convenient in the sense that it supports the OS. Which makes me lean more towards it being a false flag.

And false flag does not mean the whole thing was staged/fake, it means the true perpetrator(s) of the crime got away with doing it and a pasty was chosen to take the fall.

If you're actually telling the truth, and there's no reason to accept or deny your story, you're very confused if you think your efforts in Venezuela are comparable at all to these extremist groups in the United States. There's more than a "language barrier" (although I must say, your English is nearly flawless.)

Further, one person's patriotism is another one's terrorism. I'm sure your fellow citizens believe just as strongly in their cause.

The Faith's have the same gods but the names are not interchangeable.

The fact that the Islamic name for God was removed from the transcripts and was replaced with the Christian name for God to fit the narrative is the point.

For instance the English cigarette is different than the American word. Same as Truck, hood, bra, and dozens of others. Languages are not interchangeable unless it's done for a reason.

Why not change "Allah" in the transcripts to Jehovah the Flying Spaghetti Monster if words don't matter.

It was done to change the attack away from Islam and make it just a crazy guy at a club shouting about "God".

You know what they say about getting into an argument with a fool...

I see the mental gymnastics around here all the time... They imply and then turn around and deny because they didn't literally say it.

It seems you feel the need to comment as I do after being a lurker for so long. Just keep in the back of your mind that it is now fact, we have people on the internet being paid to promote propaganda. (There I implied just like they do)

Your hardship seems painful, I do hope the best for you. But I will say we need more people that have experienced socialism and totalitarian regimes to do more than speak up...but tyo ell from the rooftops! America is falling slowly down that slope. Especially with our 2 major presidential nominees.

I hope to read more from you.

Yeah, there's a very good chance a lot of these guys are patsies. But that's just instinct talking. I have no facts, may never really have all the facts. Everything is suspicious and everything isn't. Frankly, I don't like being manipulated or controlled from either direction.

Allah is God to a Muslim. The assertion is that Mateen was a Muslim, right?

In Arabic, the word LITERALLY means "the only God" same as English.

Unless you're saying they changed it to Yahweh, Jehovah, Yahoo or any of the other variations ...

So, to be clear, are you claiming that someone is paying you to post here?

Since, I'm sure you wouldn't ignore our site's T&Cs and accuse other ATS members of doing so, right?

I used to think they were paid.

Now I just think they are sad little people that need drama to somehow fill the void that is their life.

Maybe cats just don't work for some people.

Always arguing in every thread just for the sake of arguing. Patting themselves and their virtual partners on the back.

Becoming keyboard heroes when people don't respond the way they want.

I honestly thing paid posters would be far less obvious then some people here. They have to be giving it away for free because nobody is going to pay for it.
