Y'all are so soppy. When we were kids I used to call her my little angel.

I'm now settling on Kitchen Goblin.

Sounds horrific, but it makes her laugh. I think she may even take it as a compliment.

Lmao kitchen goblin.

Ohh makes me come up with one, Freaky.. but it's not in the kitchen..

Oh my gosh! That's lovely!
There are no words then, are there?

Oh there are words, she has them. Not ones I can repeat, though. hers alone.
But in terms of a sweetie name, it's like choosing the name of the most wonderful experience you can imagine, everything seems to have a part in it, and to name one thing over another, is to deny something else.. The sun, the moon, the stars I see above and the ground I feel beneath me. her scent, her eyes, her smile.. it is an impossible thing to name her entirety in a single word. I call her what my heart feels, differently, every time. She is simply my muse..
I could just be Thurston Howell III and call her Lovey. haha.. *yes a Gilligans island reference, I am a sad sad man lol*

Not sad! It's fantastic!

I'm glad that you've found that!

The closest thing I have to a lover is the winter time.

Her claws in my back, her teeth at my neck, the cold caress of the north wind on my flesh are as near to intimacy as I have had in years. I call the first gusts of winter "The herald of the Queen of the north". I call the first touch of her hand upon my cheek pure ecstasy.

But Winter is her name.

Hubby calls me "boss". Always has. I just call him honey most of the time. Unless we are trying to build something together. I can't repeat those here. LOL

We call the twin grandsons wee man and chunk. Neither is chunky, but there sure is a big size difference!
Or our little monsters.
Man I love those little monsters!!!!

Ok...this is a total tangent (sorry OP) but I've been wondering this lately so I would welcome some input:

I'm 37 with kids. I'm dating a guy that's 47 with teenage/grown kids. We're both exclusive, but anti-marriage. What do you call this relationship?????

To call him a 'boyfriend' just sounds dumb. I feel like I (both of us) are too old and life worn to be girlfriend/boyfriend. Since we're both anti-marriage it will never be 'fiancé' or 'husband/wife'. 'Partner' or 'significant other' sounds gay (nothing against gay people, it just sounds like I'm avoiding sex pronouns)- they also sound too proper.

Man-panion? That's the best I got.

Anyone got input on this?

PS As far as nicknames go...my whole family calls my 2 year old son 'Devil Baby'. Picture the Tasmanian Devil in a diaper, that's my guy!

"It's too quiet, where's Devil Baby?"
"I thought you were watching him!"
***crash!! glass breaking***
"Found him!"

I call her so many names...

Honeybun, bunny, bubba, the most common one I use though is "cutie"

She sometimes calls me "bacon boy" or "breakfast breath" because I eat a lot of bacon and we have an ongoing joke after I said "I have breakfast breath" one morning when I was all groggy and I really meant to say "morning breath" lol. My nicknames are not as flattering as "cutie" though
