I had a hard time of late and decided to talk about it here.

I am not quite sure why but I had no where else to turn and the community here is stronger than you think, my initial idea was to try and vent some steam and be honest to try and understand what was happening but I never expected the responses I had.

I will not go into details about what happened but will say a big thank you to the huge ammount of you guys that not only gave your support on the forums but the absurd ammount of you that hit me with pm's not only at the time but on a day to day basis, I will not lie and gladly say that what you all did made the difference between me bieng ok and not, really.

As to the appology I made a thread whilst suffering from delusions from alcohol withdrawal and a lot of stress, not something I am proud of and no idea what or where it was or came from made me look like a loon and would just like it on the record.

So whilst all girly and such I would just like to say once more a big thank you to all of you and although I am far from through the problems I had(and back to controlled and reducing drinking) I am on the mend and building a new life slowly and will be better at some point.

Looking back on my thread history I think I am more suited to the silly and this serious stuff does not really suit me.

Love and Peas.

Gregg

For all our flaws and quirks...

ATS is a community, a common bond and even more.

We are possibly the largest dysfunctional family in the world.

True words, I came here for the unusual and bizzare, I never realised that whilst looking for conspiracies I would find some truely great people that take the time to care for a stranger in the way they do.

Oh yes, I think that I took it beyond what even I would deem ATS, kind of made sense at the time but on reflection was withdrawl induced psychosis.

Much respect to you. I always love coming across "The Walternate" Avatar😊.
I truly hope everything gets better for you. Even though folks here have never met. We all adore each other here on ATS. Some not so much😀😅.

I am a bit short on friends right now so a man with your connections is always a handy thing to have.

Not now but I know how these things work, I know what side your bread is buttered.

LittleBurgh has been busy painting shoes. She goes to the Metaphysical threads and replies. As of late with politics. She's a little Skiddish to join in.
Oh! By the way...... she's my older sister😂😂.

She's married 👰. But not to me! That would be sooooo West Virginia U.S.A.

Sometimes our vices get the best of us. Ive been there as well my friend.
It was 3 years sober on June 2 for me.

I honestly cant even fathom living the kind of life style I previously was. It seemed glorious at the time and all, but really I was hurting a lot more than myself.

I found that i had to leave my past in the past, and that included the people that were part of it. I met a great group of other like minded friends. Being around new faces that have the same aspirations in life is critical I think.

Its 1 day at a time my friend. Before long you will look back and ask how yourself why didnt I do this sooner.
