There is absolutely NO constitutional authority to limit the peoples power.

NONE.

And when it government becomes destructive of those ends.

It is our RIGHT.

It is our DUTY.

To abolish it, and create a new one.

I see this is the latest non-issue that has people foaming at the mouth. Gonna take your guns, but not really, but get angry as if they are, and foam like rabid dogs about it? That is, until the non-issue fizzles out and a new non-issue arises? Sounds tiring. But I guess if you don't have anything legit to complain about....

The United States is Presently at WAR with Radical Islamic Terrorists Organizations around the World , when will the House and Senate Finally Admit it Publicly ? Poll taxes were declared Unconstitutional by the SCOTUS in the 1930s because they created a condition by which the citizen's wealth status became a qualification to exercise their right. Excise taxes on firearms are almost certainly Unconstitutional by this same judgement... but good luck getting the government to restrict their own actions in regards to separating citizens from rights and money. One could further argue that the Act which created the federal firearms and ammo exicse taxes, the Pittman-Robertson Act, requires every cent collected in those taxes go directly into wildlife conservation, public shooting range provisions, and firearm education and hunter education programs or else be returned to the tax payers as surplus collected revenue.

As far as your claim that courts care about the Constitution, Dred Scott, Susette Kelo, Carrie Buck, and scores of others disagree with you.

Again, you conflate restrictions on some weapons to all weapons.

The Second gives Americans a right to own and carry weapons.

The US Constitution, and the State Constitutions, give the various levels of government the power to place limits on sales and what kinds of weapons are available for sale through various powers over commerce, general welfare, public safety, etc.

Your absolutist argument seems more and more childish everytime I see it posted.
