Trump has been saying the same things for decades, if you look back at previous interviews. He is not saying this just to get elected.

Gary Johnson, who admits he is a regular pot smoker?
I have nothing personally against those who choose to indulge, but I do not see that as a favorable trait in the leader of our country.

If you research the truth about the protests at Trump rallies, and those planned for the RNC conventions, they are organized and paid for by the PTB that fear Trump. They do not own Trump, and they can not control him, and that terrifies him. So they twist things around and blame Trump for violence, when it is caused directly by those trying to smear him for reasons that are not made a part of the actual demonstrations.

How different would the "protests" be if they had the people carrying signs that showed their real message? Things like "Lobbyists against Trump, because we can't buy him". And "Political Establishment against Trump, because we did not groom him and choose him". And "Media against Trump, because we can't manipulate to our agenda". And "Illegals against Trump, because he wants us to follow the law". And "Terrorists against Trump, because he wants to expose the truth"......

BTW I hear what you are saying but I have no sympathy for how we have been used to create profits and shifted american jobs.

The same has been done by the US for at least 2 generations to other nations by the adherence of the US $petrodollar and the shifting of inflation to other countries. The chickens are coming home to roost and the dream is over, you have awakened to the fact that the spoils of the US global hegemony are not to be shared with the common man but by a handful of Globalists whose main concern is increasing profits & power over Governments (TPP). The spoils will shift from country to country buying up assets cheaply and avoiding taxation by seeking lower taxation regimes.

Like the US, Australias social security funds are in danger of confiscation by Governments desperate to cook the books and look after their crony mates. They have enacted bail in provisions so the saver gets a Cyprus haircut, whilst the crooks get to rebuy toxic assets at cents in the $.

Much like any other empire in history the US will follow, the tiger is there in the background waiting. The Chinese have always thought long term. Although they hold large amounts of US debt they will emerge as a force in the 21st Century.

There will be massive social upheaval and rioting in the streets as the people search for food and look to lay the blame on the "other". There may be a conventional war to wipe out a few million and the whole cycle will begin again.

It seems like this script has been repeated quite regularly over the last few thousand years. Its almost like there is someone/something that will not allow man to escape this death/war/tribalism cycle of despair.
I wonder why that is?

You do realize that the Trump like Clinton is still a lackey of England, the Queen and the City of London?
And you thought you won the The American Revolutionary War (1775–1783)

hehehe

Whilst everyone is bitching and thinking they have choices nothing will really change in the grand scheme of things.

Royal connection! Donald Trump is distant cousin of notorious Richard III, it is revealed...and he's ALSO related to Hillary Clinton MyHeritage.com claims that Trump and Hillary Clinton are direct descendants of the 14th century 1st Duke of Lancaster, John of Gaunt Gaunt, who died in 1399, was Richard III's great-great uncle Therefore, the high-flying political pair are related to Shakespeare's contemptible bunch-back'd toad - as well as each other (19th cousins)

Major Corporations dropping support for the Republican convention? That is great news, now Republicans should garner support from all those Occupy Wallstreet kids. They were the ones protesting corporations, more votes in November for the red team!!! /sarc

The whole system is ridiculously corrupt anyway.

Two private organizations dictating the ebb and flow of politics and supported by the corporate sector?

I'm pretty sure the FF's didn't plan it that way.

Not shocking. Trump only has the support of racists and extremists.

Thankfully, the majority of America is made up of good people who don't support racism and hate speech. The posters on ATS who do speak loudly and often, but they are an outlier.

I do not like Clinton, but god bless my countrymen who refuse to support anyone who appeals to the racist extremists who blame minorities for the country's ills.

I don't care how long he has been saying the same thing. It doesn't mean that he hasn't been saying it because of public image.

Now he is using those words as election promises that he probably won't keep.

back in the day maybe, but when your such a rhetoric an aggressive candidate and your supporters are also very loud, aggressive and ''need to be heard'' mentality.. shooting trump would risk setting off something too big too handle.

he'd become a martyr against the elite and that's the last thing they want.

No, they'll try to discredit him with bogus lawsuits, accusations, fear mongering etc.

Doesn't have to be a bullet.

A member of the elite becoming a martyr against the elite?

Why do people keep saying he is not part of the establishment?

It's about time someone called out the media for their dishonesty.
They constantly spin news, reporting to sensationalize or spread their agenda.
True journalism rarely exists any more.
What is wrong with insisting that the media tells the truth?

Really, remember all the stuff about Fox suing to be able to lie? lol!

Pretty funny that they let the MSM get away with it and then swear it's the truth.

How about the media just NOT reporting on certain things?

As for the "polls" that show Trump losing, there has been only 1 since orlando, i think.

No there is no powers that be exactly. To be honest you can see who they are and what they are doing. The powers that be is the billionaires all trying to change the world into what they believe it should be. You have soros he wants to destroy world governments and replace them with one. He believes humanity with one government would prevent many of the world's problems. This goal can go both ways you could end up with utopia civilization or the ultimate nightmare. Then you have the Koch brothers they want a capitalist society.

To them they think allowing corporations to control things will lead to another version of utopia. They see it as of you unrestrain capitolism that people can make money this will lead to a unprecedented boom In society and a golden age of inavation and poverty and suffering disapear. Governments lose their power and control and instead we have corporations working to better society. Bad side is this could lead to corporations creating a slave class instead and they'll be poor just under control.

Then we have Trump he's hated by both for the same reason. Trump isn't for socialism you see that doesn't like the ideath of uniting the world he is concerned with elevating the United States status. But he isn't a capitolit to the extreme either we see on his speeches he's not for free trade. He doesn't believe corporations should run unrestrained such as allowing them to move thier operations out of the country without penalties.

Now to Trump I figure there is two possibilities as to why he's running. There is a third group that likes syatus quo. They like the US being a super power and like the idea of nations and doesn't want to see them destroyed which both of the other sides have attempted from difrent directions. This may be why billionaires are willing to do things like the one that promised him at least 100 million for his campaign. The other possibility is Trump is getting old and knows he's coming to the end of his time. Making more money is no longer important. But as people get older Family becomes more and more important. And they are set financially let's face it. His O KY fear left would be what kind if world his grandchildren will have. As parents get older they start thinking about what kind of world they are leaving the r kids and grandkids and he doesn't like it.

I can think of a 3rd but I think it's to unlikely Trump doesn't seem like a world domination guy and he wouldn't keep talking about the United states that would require an approach more along the lines of Soros like when he tried to crash the British economy. If you don't think someone prevented that your silly he brought the UK to its knees.

And the issue is what ?

I thought people wanted to get the evil corporations 'out' of politics.

Now they snip when they actually do.

Just no pleasing people.

I can too, maybe he just wants that trophy. That merit badge that says this guy was able to do this.

That's not even a bad thing but, he wouldn't necessarily be doing it for his fellow americans.

Look across St Georges Tce near the hayshed, that's me! I aint american!

Normally I'd agree most politicians are all in the same basket together, but I honestly do not believe Trumps one of them. Many of the established elite have had to show their faces in an effort to stop Trumps momentum. they wouldnt do that if Trump was reading from their play card.

Not all Rich people are establishment.
