Just a quick, little observation: When people protest, it typically shows the will or desire of the people. When a political group buses in people...some paid and professional protesters...it is no longer an expression of the will of the people, but an orchestrated event by the group busing the people in. In this case...the left. At that point...in my opinion...the entire protest becomes the responsibility of the group and any and all violence should lead to arrests INCLUDING THE ORGANIZERS and future bans on their unlawful rallies.

Future bans on protest? LOL.

Who is this "left"? Can you name names?

You said..."Being illegal aliens THEY CANNOT LEGALLY OWN, POSSESS, OR CARRY FIREARMS. Nor could they legally open carry or possess a CCW licence. That is a STATE AND FEDERAL LAWS. "

Ummm...but being illegal aliens also means THEY CANNOT BE IN OUR COUNTRY!! But hell if they aren't. Your argument on that topic has no legs. Illegals are here illegally, drive illegally, work illegally and I'm sure own guns illegally. You see...once you commit the crime of invading our country...the other crimes almost seem like a "why not".

So...lets fix the first crime, arrest, fine and deport all of them. Then I can guarantee you they won't ILLEGALLY OWN, POSSESS OR CARRY FIREARMS!

well of course they are NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE.

Yes they do illegally drive, work , ect.

I was commenting on griphon66 assertion that the pro trump protesters were kept in check by the anti trump because they were equally armed.

In short showing griphon argument was bunk and educating him on the laws he seems to want to ignore.

Outside of that as for illegals we are on the same page

Anti-Trump protests kicked off across the street from Gilley’s about an hour before Trump’s rally is to begin. By 5 p.m., a few hundred Trump protesters had already gathered on either side of a 1,000-foot-long barricade outside Gilley’s on Dallas’ South Side. Among them were Uzma Ali of Richardson and Maryellen Oltman of Plano, who said that so far they had only had one tense encounter with a Trump supporter. “It was a woman wearing an American flag like a cape,” Oltman said. Ali added: “She said she was a Trump supporter then turned around and gave us the finger.”

Protesters planning to rally against Trump at Gilley’s say they’re not looking for violent clashes. They are minority activists, leaders, and groups like LULAC, who say they’ll only be armed with American flags and a message. "His campaign of hatred, bigotry, and division is not welcome in the United States or North Texas," said attorney Domingo Garcia, one of the organizers of the protest.

Garcia says the protesters will employ 40-50 security officers who are former military and law enforcement to keep them safe, and anyone looking for a fight won’t last long. "If somebody acts up, we’re going to ask them to leave the demonstration," Garcia said. "If they refuse to leave, we’ll let DPD do their job." He expects 1,000 to 5,000 people to show up against Trump. Thousands more will likely show up to support the presumptive Republican candidate. They can expect hundreds of Dallas police officers to greet them, protecting both side’s rights to free speech.

... and by the way Mr Garcia is a well-known attorney/abogoto in Dallas, TX

There is a false, illogical, claim being made here, and that is, namely, that the protesters were not Texans, were illegals, etc..

LOL ... if you want to deal with logic and facts ... you might want to get some logic and facts.

Notice the typical liberal response/talking points when confronted by facts against their comments/rants/posts.

No counter or addressing WHAT POINTS ARE WRONG and WHAT FACTS THEY HAVE.

Just a short comment how what you say is wrong like we have to just accept their comment as "case closed"

BTW I quoted EXACTLY what you said on how armed anti trump protesters kept armed pro trump protesters in check.

Funny you cant respond to that can you

typical anti trump liberal

just because you have the first amendment right to say anything does not make it fact

You haven't "educated" anyone on anything. First of all, you're butting into a conversation you apparently didn't bother to read. The silly assertion made here has been that all Texans are armed and that people being armed keeps trouble from arising. My claim was that the folks who are protesting are ALSO Texans and therefore, by the same logic, could have been just as much a part of the so-called peace-keeping as the protesters.

The only thing you did in response was to splatter your own unfounded opinions over the screen and claim that you accomplished something. You didn't.

Dude, as opposed to your screed, I've provided plenty of facts and details.

Now you're just lying (and posting political-baiting to boot). I'd like to ask you to stop that, as it's against the site's T&C.

Thanks.

Sorry...don't have my list handy. Pretty much anyone who supports Hillary for any reason other than the brain dead "I want a woman president". In other words, people who think that even criminals should be allowed to be President. I wouldn't include Bernie supporters because while left-leaning, they are sick of the establishment of both sides.

I would probably include you since you have such a love for the president, the administration, etc. But I'm only guessing. What I would like to know is exactly what left groups are sending these buses. They are obviously trying to "pad the bra" and make it appear there are more people who dislike Trump in the local area than there are. You know...liars by purposely making a false impression.

And if they are doing so, and considering that the larger the crowd the more likely there will be violence from the intolerant left...they should be held responsible as much as someone pouring more gas on the existing fire.

People aren't saying it's not ok. People are saying that you need to blame the ones starting it, not a 7 or 8 month old speech that hasn't been said again. And furthermore, don't bitch about it when you come to start trouble and get your ass handed to you. And don't blame Trump for that either. Chalk it up to defending yourself.

The point is Trump called for it. Even said he'd pay for the lawyers or what not, but thats besides the point. Protesting a rally where people want to hear what their selected candidate of choice is against my own personal morals, but the fact is Trump is getting what he asked for if you ask me. Maybe they feel they are defending themselves since Trump is known for singling out specific groups. Maybe if he didn't act like a bigot and then sugarcoat it all the time he wouldn't get these reactions. You don't see other candidates getting the same treatment.

Now you're going to pout about Hillary Clinton? Not going to play that game either.

So ... I "love the President" because I don't cop to your BS? LOL. Okay.

What "left groups" are sending these buses? Not difficult at all to discover that info. Check out he local news links I provided earlier. The folks are all from the Dallas area (you may not have a clear idea of how BIG Dallas is.)

OMG "pad the bra" ... well there's a useless, sexist metaphor tossed in meaninglessly. I guess you dont' think that Americans have the right to organize protests?

There was no violence yesterday. But I agree ... political violence has no place in our dialogue. It is always wrong no matter which "side" does it. Pretending that both sides are not equally guilty in this regard is simply not factual, however.

But don't let that fact cool your partisan rhetoric ...

Don't worry...I wouldn't want to disappoint you

However, I would like to see how you compare the violence of the left vs the violence (or lack thereof) of the right? From what I've seen in the news, MSNBC, Fox and online...the violence is almost entirely from the left. Yes...violence (and I would even include intimidation, name calling, etc.) has no place in politics or anywhere else. But again, I haven't seen the KKK standing outside voting locations as the Black Panthers did. And if they did I believe they would be removed, not supported by the Attorney General Holder of the Obama administration.

So...yeah.

Both "sides" have been violent. My comment is the same as always: violence has no place in our political process, violence is always wrong.

The KKK has the same rights to Assemble and speak their minds as all Americans do. Constitutional rights don't exist because you or I think that other Americans deserve them. However, if the KKK, or the Black Panthers, or Trump protesters or Trump supporters break the laws of the land, they deserve to face the consequences.

Mr. Trump has toned down his invitations to violence in his rallies. I hope that trend continues.

So no violence at the rally in Texas?
Thats great!
So whats the difference between Dallas and the other Cities that have had violence problems?
What did the city/police do that can be done for future events to stop the violence?

No, no real violence. There were some clashes but mounted police got in the way. I guess the difference here between us and other cities was that we had a major police presence. Any heated exchange was immediately interrupted.

1 person was arrested and 7 were removed. But it was mostly peaceful.

The rally the day in Atlanta GA before was a lot less violent as well compared with some occasions.

Perhaps the rhetoric being cooled down is making a positive difference; one can hope.

Pleasantly surprised that nothing violent happened. Maybe there's hope after all for both sides to voice their differences peacefully.

Do you have any detail on those numbers?

dfw.cbslocal.com...

Best I'm finding is an extremely accurate 'hundreds' of protesters - with no word how many were actually bused in. From the video I saw I'l guesstimate maybe 400 high side total... and that's extremely charitable.

www.mediaite.com...

Trump spoke in the American Airlines Center in Dallas, which can hold 21,000 people for concerts. Pictures look like it was close to capacity.

Everything I found (researching the list of groups you tallied earlier) suggested they were from the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. They were "bussed in" for an organized protest, but they were, as far as I could tell, native Texans.

If you found something different, let us know.

Trump visited San Antonio today. Good to see San Antonio kept the protesting peaceful in Texas unlike what we have seen in other states.
