First off, I'm convinced by the Scientific evidence that we currently exist in a simulation. We're a quantum code being simulated by a quantum computer and once we know the code and build a quantum computer that's powerful enough to simulate this quantum code then we will create millions of ancestor simulations for research and entertainment.

There's no life or death just code. If we were alive at some point in something called a "real" world then we died a long time a go and now we're information embedded in a quantum code.

Now, here's Zuck:

We’ve spent the past decade handing Mark Zuckerberg our cherished memories, beloved photographs and intimate details of our day to day lives.

But that’s not enough for the social media titan: he wants to get inside your brain and access your thoughts directly.

Zuck has hinted that social networks of the future will be powered by telepathy, allowing ordinary people to beam their brainwaves and emotions directly onto the internet.

“I think you’re going to be able to capture a thought [and take] what you’re thinking or feeling, in its kind of ideal and perfect form in your head and share that with the world,” he said whilst discussing predictions of the future with the Washington Post.

He said there was already “crazy” scientific research underway which could help his dream become a reality.

Zuck said government researchers had already worked out how to remove the memory of solving a maze from one rat’s head and then implant it in another rodent’s noggin.

“Then that mouse, without ever having been through the maze, was able to go do it.

“That’s just straight out of the Matrix, right?”

I think people will download memories the same way we download apps. If you want to learn Karate, download it. If you want to learn how to do heart surgery, download it.

A person that can't play basketball, will be able to download the memories and instincts of Lebron James and Steph Curry and they will become good enough to at least be an NBA role player with practice.

This will also make A.I. very powerful. Cloud A.I. will connect all virtual and robot systems to an intelligence cloud. This way, all robots and virtual agents connected to the A.I. cloud will have access to the same information. This will also allow them to learn from their environment in a very connected way.

So a robot in New York sees a BMW car and he accesses the cloud. If information about the BMW isn't in the cloud, he learns about the BMW and uploads that information into the cloud. It will be a collective consciousness for robots and virtual agents. We will eventually have chips insterted into our brains that give us access to the A.I. cloud.

However it will be a corporate Matrix with stockholders, CEOs, and MODs in total control of access and content. Wanna play...ya gotta pay!

Sound familiar?

So, we are coded to be born, age, feel pain/emotions and possibly die as a result of some awful disease that has been coded to do their job?

What sort of sick twisted programmer thought that up?

We're just avatars in someone else's simulation. It's in our genes. We love to make models of our world, from model railroads to immersive games like SWTOR. "God" is a kid still living in his Mom's basement playing a simulation game on his computer. All this angst we go through is strictly for his amusement. Since we're "not real" by his definition, the pain we go through isn't either. To him, it's irrelevant--just a by-product of playing the game. That people are actually serious about life, politics, etc. is a testimony to how well the game is designed.

I disagree with us living in a quantum simulation theory, it's a joke to me. But the downloading of information to our brain is very realistic to me. It's lot like elysium the film where information hijacking will be the biggest money maker in criminal circles.

Telepathically updating your Facebook doesn't seem as realistic to me because Facebook doesn't allow porn. Just imagine every 5 seconds GemmyMcGemJew having a Facebook update saying "minge" or "boobs".

Every British MP will have exceeded their child photo allocations

I was born too early. I would like to see that. I wonder if cryogenic stasis will be getting cheaper soon enough to make it a common form of "burial"

Zuckerberg has his opinions but is hardly the final word on anything. Ernest Cline wrote fiction on this possibility with Ready Player One [2011] which details a possible future scenario that you might find interesting.

In the world I see you are stalking elk through the damp canyon forests around the ruins of the Rockerfeller centre, there are no Mark Zuckerbergs.

I can buy the cruel programmer theory look at what some do for entertainment in games

This doesn't red flag anyone?

Trying to hack a brain to get it to do what they want?

This is probably the reason for the new super AI.

Swell

Edit..this could be awesome for non nefarious learning purposes.
Beam in the entire MIT curriculum online, in an hour.

=D this is why there is a new trend in everything being "the mandela effect" All these lab rats without a maze big enough to play in

I think it will take a little longer than 50 years, but something incredible will happen along those lines within the next 250 years, certainly. Although I don't know if the hyperintelligence we'll create will bother putting us in a Matrix.

Think people are missing the big picture here. This is just the small fries of a "collective conscious"...member..."resistance is futile".

A google search for this supposed rat memory transfer technology surfaces only this article. Maybe the military is just that far ahead of civilian science, but why is Zuckerberg blabbering about it then?

Scientific evidence is only now on the cusp of confirming what spiritual figures have been saying for millennia. Mark is essentially trying to build another 'tower of babel'! He will fail!
