I have a big problem with the 'formation' that is following. I don't buy into that close a formation when the 'potential' threat is unknown....

Fake.

I'm strongly in favor of the truth and in outting all hoaxes.

It's just quite discouraging that no videos survive the IT'S A HOAX/CGI assault.

So just why should hoaxed/cgi videos of ufos survive when they are obviously hoaxes?

I believe it's a fiercely important topic.

But at this point, let the CGI experts post the videos THEY think are authentic.

Most are hoaxes, others are just a light in the sky, or filmed with a potato or by someone with what looks like the DT's.

Yeah, I feel like taking my ball and going home. It's just not worth it any longer.

When was posting obviously hoaxed video's worth it?

Yeah...hoaxes are minimally interesting, but pretty nutz to bother putting up a hoax thread for the sake of "Hey! This isnt real...so lets talk about it!"

Isnt it better to put effort in non-hoaxes and potential truths?

I just don't care to get that close and analytical with the videos. It's just not my interest to do that. It's tedious, unattractive, dreadful, to me, to do that. Just my make-up.

So, I'll have to do something else--like ignore it all until the stuff starts falling out of the skies on the nightly news and some orbs land in some famous naysayers' laps and castrate them.

Until then, it's just not worth the hassles and grief, to me. My flaw.

I respect you a lot, but i must say that im the exact opposite when it comes to thses video.
Cheers.

Let me reword it.

It is not worth it to sort it all out tediously to begin with. Not my interest.

I'll let the CGI experts do that first.

Sure. It IS better to put time and energy into non-hoaxes and truths.

So I'll let others find those, from now on . . . . with no or very rare exceptions.

The problem with such videos is they do nothing to prove or disprove (which cannot be done) that UFOs are actually real. The discussion is one dimensional, focusing only on real or fake. If signs of fakery appear, we can understand that can discarded the offering as trash. But many people with the knee jerk response of "HOAX!" are wanting that to be the case regardless of what is shown because they don't accept at all that UFOs can be real. So they have a hidden motive for crying "fake!" and constantly do so automatically.

On the other hand, we that absolutely know that UFOs are real, gain little by arguing for the legitimacy of such videos. We gain nothing because any video without a US government stamp of approval on it is not going to prove a danged thing about the reality of UFOs even if the video is real.

In effect, the overall result is that the legitimacy of the whole topic is kept at an asinine level which virtually never, never raises above a high schooler's point of view. Serious discussion of UFOs on these pages with clear thought and intensity just don't happen.

So in the future please don't feel offended whence you read replies to your future OP of being a hoax video...that just tastes bad in the UFO forums. Rather, feel grateful that some ATS members have sorted through a lot of videos to be able to most often decipher them as truly unique or total blasphemy.

I was unaware that there were challenging concepts in these sentences of mine:

"I guess it's nice that y'all's "hoax flinging" skills are still up to speed to save us all from our own ignorance and gullibilities."

"I'm strongly in favor of the truth and in outting all hoaxes."

I respect that.

UFOatSection51

SecureTeam10

----

All of these channels are horrible propagators of hoaxes. And not to dismiss everything entirely, but the chances of any 3 of these having real videos is slim. All have been caught making, baking, shaking hoaxes in the past, or currently, or every damn day.

There's a 0.00000002129% chance someone might actually send them something. I mean, they do mange to fraud views out of people. But I'd want to see it on another source first. Most aren't even worth the time it takes to analyze them.

Luckily all 3 of these are big on the, add a UFO-in-AfterEffects-on-a-still-image (or pre shot video) and its painfully obvious. You know, like stuff in the same area showing two varying focal points from the camera...

Thanks.

That's useful and helpful.

I'm ignorant of what sites are better and worse.

Some things appear more flaky than others but I'm also used to the most flaky appearing stuff occasionally turning up some nuggets. So I tend to be charitable and generous in considering them.

It's obviously infuriating when you spot what's going on. SecureTeam10 should really apply himself in marketing or something. He's a flaky young kid with a lisp who's conjuring up hoaxes for a place in the world, with a knack for making his videos go viral. He's managed to get a few picked up by major media sources in the UK, which then get picked up elsewhere. (to be fair, still tabloids, dailyfail, etc-but still better than seasoned PR people can do)

The point is he could apply himself doing respectable work and people would respect him. Instead he promotes lies and makes the people who are prone to debunk, irate ...pushing them to insta-debunk even more- and he turns believers into non believers. It's an end negative he's causing.

For a positive, here is Captain Disillushion explaining how most of these hoax propagators produce their vids:

(Not guaranteed each one will use this method, but its the most common)

Also, Im not attempting or meaning to debunk the OP vid. The focal point seems off between objects which should be in the same one, that's all I have as an opinion on it. But the unreliability of this channel (and similar) always makes me skeptical because they burn people with fake vids constantly. At least Captain Disillusion is real.

Yeah the object in question is CGI, its projected flight path is not in sync with its directional movement.

nice try tho. you have to look real close to see a stutter or 2.

Check youtube comments and see how many 'revelations'
Or how many want people to take a second look because it makes sense for jet fighter to 'escort' the craft.
Even if i showed the stock model which can be purchased on turbosquid [cgi ebay], it comes in various file formats, .ma ..3ds. Dgw.. etc... there would still be the same comments.
Even if i showed the wire mesh and a compositing behind the scene video tutorial on how to do it. Yea.. these people exist.

Yea.. 3rd from list

Not sure what you mean when you speak of the wire mesh here ? Are you speaking of like woven wire mesh - something like what is made/seen here - Woven Wire Mesh

If so - they make some of this stuff with such fine wire, that it cannot even be seen, especially from a distance. This is a very good though and a good concept to keep in mine for future cases - but keep in mind, this stuff can be made so that it is almost invisible due to microscopic wire diameters!

Oh wellllll . . . it looked interesting to me.

I guess it's nice that y'all's "hoax flinging" skills are still up to speed to save us all from our own ignorance and gullibilities.

It really is a great way to demotivate any inclination to bother about the topic again. Great strategy for that.

The disinfo folks win again in shutting us all down and discouraging any lasting effective interest . . . as usual.

I don't get it.

You post this video that you yourself now admits looks like a hoax, ask people their opinion, and then cry "disinfo agent!" to anyone whose analysis of the video resulted in thinking it is a hoax. If you post a video that you think could be a hoax, don't later chide those people for concluding (in their opinion) that it is a hoax. What do you want them to say instead?

It seems to me that you may have intentionally posted a video that you thought was a hoax just to bait people in so you could get up on your soapbox and pontificate. SMH
