Dutch woman held in Qatar after making rape complaint

The Hague (AFP) - A 22-year-old Dutch woman is being held in Qatar on suspicion of adultery after she said she was raped while on holiday there, her lawyer told AFP on Saturday.

The woman says she was drugged in a hotel, and that she realised she had been raped when she woke up in an unfamiliar apartment.

All I can say is that this world deserves the next comet that's going to slam into it.

Between this and all the bs going on it's time for a meteor or a volcano to slam into the earth and put an end to all of this.

This woman also told her parents she was going to France... She went to Qatar for quick and easy $$$, she's an escort and she got busted.

so she gets drunk , thinks that she is with a nice guy to spend the night with , goes to his apartment or a hotel room and enjoys the night and after waking up guess what let me call the police to get more money , or was she unconscious and the guy carried her in front of the people and took her to his room, no it doesn't work this way you have to prove it otherwise every woman will charge someone with rape.

Sure this type of # happens on either side, but to blame someone who was drugged, really ?

According to you statement, she would need to drink more than one sip to be affected which is bull#; we live in the real world where people get raped every day and nothing is going to change in the slightest with an attitude like yours, thankfully we don't all feel the same way.

From a dutch newssource (my is mother belgian, so I speak dutch), it only states that she lied to her parents about going on a holiday to France. The rest of my claim is based on common sense, it is well known for european girls to go to countries like Qatar and Dubai to earn some quick money. Most of them succeed, some get busted.

Being drunk is actually not a reason to rape her. She doesn't have the presence of mind to accept, escpecially if she was drugged.

Muslim counttries have laws western countries find baffling. Neither should she be arrested for 'adultery' nor should you be jumping to conclusions that she is making this up. That is prtetty sick.

If Sweden is able to extradite him, though, I don't see any reason why he shouldn't stand trial.

The reason she is being held is ridicuolous beyond meaning. I agree with you.

But I disagree the world needs to be destroyed because of things like this. Speaking out against them is the way. Like you have done, but somehow added a comet slamming into the earth as a solution.
